However there is still a large area to walk on which is covered with a plastic surface similar to those seen at festivals. With a heavy downpour this could easily become treacherous and result in a serious injury. For this reason I would seriously advise all Bolton supporters to wear appropriate footwear and minimise their alcohol intake.
