Breightmet Boy
They’ve done well in defence, blocked the lot, Doyle’s not had a chance, they’ve done well all 90mins

Leyther_Matt
FT 1-0 Just not good enough in final third really. Fair play to Cambridge, got their goal and defended it with their lives.

Mantra
Poor performance overall but should’ve really got a point from that. Could do with some more transfer activity

Mounts Kipper
Powder puff up front, dictated the game but need more up front when teams sit back, Cambridge played that game like an away fixture and we didn’t come up with an answer. JimmyRiddle
Like so many matches last year, is just passing for passings sake. Sheehan looked up for it, the rest shite.

Roger_Dubuis
Awful result especially since the club sacrificed a League Cup run for it. Looks to me like Sunderland, Sheff Weds and Wigan are the best 3 sides in the division.I reckon they are the 3 that spend the most money on players

These are the exact kinda games where Bakayoko could have made a difference with his physicality in top third.
Deanu
Cant really moan at that. Ref was a prick but we conceded first and that allowed them to just sit in to soak up all the pressure. Didn't test the goalkeeper once & looked easy to defend against. Not much movement off the ball & totally predictable. Our crosses from wide areas were poor too, sloppy & slow throughout today. They defended well & made things difficult but we wasnt brave enough on the ball. We definitely need one or two more to come in with Baka & Amaechi outl

woolli
Why of fuckin why is Declan John and the rest passing back to Dixon in injury time? We fucked about that much at the back we must have lost another 5 minutes!. We are losing boys! Fuckin launch it!
Site Supporter desperado Posted August 28, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted August 28, 2021 It’s one of the frustratingly dominant defeats that will bring the likes of whites63 and hughmungus out of their holes. You are left thinking how did we not get the ball in the back of the net. Similar to lots of games last year, attack against defence. Credit to them for throwing bodies on the line. But if a game plays out like that again 9/10 Bolton will win, Cambridge will lose. Not quite precise enough in final third. We needed a goal in that really dominant 15 mins after half time. Another attacker needed before transfer window. IE tried everything, fair play. Not to be today, but not distraught about the performance, gutted about the result, we’ll be back. Nothing to get despondent about COYW

barrycowdrill
A good few off the boil today. 1st half Santos looked gormless, Dapo didn’t wanna be there, MJ was off the boil and Isgrove could’ve been at home. Slightly better in the 2nd half but not going to get anything at this level playing to that standard. Looked toothless too. They banked 2 rows in front really compact and we ran out of ideas

You have to give credit to Bonnar. After being outplayed last game against us, he did his homework and pushed Hoolahan into that more forward position, limiting MJ. paulhanley
We probably deserved two points off our last two games and we've ended up with three so context is everything. Most of us would have taken 2-2-1 after our first five games too. Let's focus on some tweaks on Deadline Day and move on. This season is one for re-establishing ourselves - there'll be ups and downs.
