I really think that HW would be suprised and humbled by all this attention. Especially from the club itself. I also think he would be very proud of himself on what he achieved with the community he built. Something I don't think he would have fully realised at the time.

Neil & I didn't always see eye to eye, possibly because we're both grumpy old men, but I have/had nothing but respect for the man and the world is now a poorer place without him.

I wonder if Neil ever sat back and thought about the, literally, thousands of friendships this site has been the catalyst for.

I've got dozens of lads I'd class as genuine friends, solely because of this site, as I'm sure the majority do too.

He's left behind a hell of a legacy. 

I do hope he was proud of it.

Hi Horwich. My dads funeral will be at Holy Infants Church, Bolton on Tuesday 23rd November at 11 am. From there we will be going to Radcliffe crematorium for 12.30pm. There’s not going to be any wake afterward as that would have been my dads worst nightmare 🤣. Please let WW know, you’re all more than welcome x
