Do we reckon there's much gulf in quality in teams from L2 and L1?

Not sure if the question is a touch of sarcasm, but blimey, its way better.  Every game 80mph instead of 40mph.  The pace and creativity of the league one teams has forced us to raise our game, play at a quicker tempo and makes things happen quicker.  With a few better players thrown in of course.  Breathless stuff, loving every minute of every game at the moment.

MJ mom absolutely everywhere

Thought we started of on the back foot a little but improved as the game went on

Doyle yet again ran his Irish nads off

Oxford are a good side and will be up near the top end

Great 3 points and descent game

Standard seems far better than our recent L1 visits, even the promotion one.

You can see and feel the belief and desire the players have, a good number of them left absolutely everything out there today and that'll mean we do have to use the squad a lot for sat-tues-sat games.

Bit worried MJ will be left out on Tuesday

I personally don’t give two hoots about the Wigan game, but I know it’s a biggie for some.

Cambridge is a bigger game for me and I wouldn’t be too concerned if IE plays a weakened team on Tuesday.

If we do though and they don’t we could get hammered as Wigan are a strong side.

Big jump up in the standard from Div 2 to Div 1 & Oxford are the best team we've played so far. If they'd taken their chances they could have won, a draw may have been a fair result but we showed our resilience, fighting spirit & a fair bit of quality to win it ourselves.

Nobody let us down but i'd probably go with MJ as MOM as well.

Cracking game....EIEIEIO

What a great game of football.

best performance I’ve seen from Dapo. Thought their goal was well offside

Great win against another good team.

Their goal was clearly handball.

Come On You Whites!!!

Didn’t see any handball but he definitely looked offside.

Was a great game, decent crowd as well. We are actually enjoyable to watch. A draw probably fair but couldn't care less and there seems to be a genuine bond between the team and the fans again.

Only complaint - that song they played before kick off about no one liking us and we don't care. Never, ever play that again. Awful.

What a league this is. Every game was been so open. Really enjoyable.

All of the players have their flaws or they wouldn’t be playing at this level, but sometimes they come up with stuff that shows just what they’re capable of. Great strike by Dapo, and even the goal from the corner doesn’t happen by accident.

With the expectation on Tuesday and the away following etc, I think it could have a huge bearing on things. Far more than you’d normally expect for an early League Cup game. Lose and it might see a few heads drop, but win it and I genuinely think we’ll go unbeaten for the next 10 games.

Great game. Their goal deflated us for a while but we started and finished the first half quite well.

Still some concern about the defensive aspect of the midfield, though Sheehan got stronger for me. He missed a sitter at 0-0 which will have bugged him.

Second half I thought we were more in control, though they were always a threat.

Once he got his goal, Dapo was inspired and his second half display was sensational in every aspect.

Doyle was excellent, worked hard and second half got more ball. Linked well with others, and I thought he was on for a second.

John injured again, or still needing fitness?

MJ looking lean and athletic, everyone contributed to a fine team display.

Didn't know their scorer had caught the ball until informed by a fellow poster afterwards. How the linesman missed that I don't know.

Ref- apart from one error when he penalised our right back when he made a good challenge, I though he was OK.

Very enjoyable afternoon.

One or two free kicks given for nothing but certainly nowhere near his ‘homer’ display at Tranmere.
