Wanderers Ways. Neil Thompson 1961-2021

All sorts of shit coming up in the next few weeks for me that I've been cajoled into, everything from Steve Vai to an apparently unmissable triple header involving someone called Gary Sweatshirt or summat. The mind boggles.

Nick Masons was spot on tonight . Couple of Wanderers shirts in the audience.

Mr Kemp was bloody good on guitar and vocals.

Somebody shouted "Wanderers" at the start.  Really enjoyed it but not getting pissed wet through outside.

Called in the Salisbury,  walked to the Monkey.

And yes it then chucked it down. Stayed there grabbed a taxi to the Apollo.

Walked straight in . Afterwards buzz to Monroes.

Then Andy Burnhams rattlers completely screwed up the night.

Bit the bullet. Got tickets for Afflecks Palace / Pastel / Vega Rally gig at Academy 2 in July. I reckon in years to come it will be a highly talked about event! Less than £20 a pop.

Apparently they are having major problems with the N-Dubz codes but they are working on resolving the issue.

I’ve got them, it’s Kendrick Lamar I am after

Hoping @Not in Crawley can pull some strings and get me backstage with him.

Pulitzer winner and all that must roll in the same circles as our Crawley

Think TV Quick Awards and you'd be closer to the mark.

I have been backstage at the 02 a few times though for the high rolling glamour that was Walking With Dinosaurs (hangin' with Michaela Strachan - it was really, really wild) and Level 42 on some odd soul weekender hosted by Trevor Nelson I worked on.

Michaela still talks about that night.

In a random buy, The Lazy Eyes last night  at Deaf Institute. They are very young and were good enough to make you hope they keep going because there was definitely summat there.

Karl whatdomecallit from Underworld daughter is in them.

Did they do any stuff from their albums?

No. They'd put a message out before tickets went on sale (only 12 quid) saying that they wouldn't be doing anything off the albums as they were written and performed when they were a 7 piece and the lyrics were Isaac's etc. It was all new stuff. All sounded really good as you'd expect. Can't wait to hear them again.

Yeah same I'm keeping my options open at Glastonbury. Got a few must sees but that's about it. Hopefully the full line up will be out next week!

Fair play, especially as the albums are so good and the last album really was pushed, was everywhere on the tube

Just been forced in to getting Tickets for The New Roses/Saga/Foreigner in Munich in a couple of weeks by my better Half. I might be making an appearance in the Mental Health/Depression thread after that and I'm not joking. Feeling pretty low at the moment anyway, without having to watch that lot.
