2 weeks until the CMA Festival in Nashville, this is going to be a cracker and something we've fancied doing for a while. Get this out the way and Garth Brooks in September then that's concerts done for a while. Had an overload on them since covid eased off a bit

I'm a 50+ yr old white skinhead and circumstances dictated I just went to NBA Leather at the Academy, which meant The Alchemist, Earl Sweatshirt, and Action Bronson.

Brilliant.

Never let age or anything else put u off, live music is what it's all about.

This will probably blow your mind Embankment! I was attending BIT at the time and a bunch of lads from Walmsleys I was serving my apprenticeship with had me go along to a few around that time including this one.

I have had a facial tick ever since! ;):D

If you check around that time you will find gigs at the BIT by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Hackensack, Vinegar Joe (featuring Elkie Brooks), Hatfield And The North and the one that sticks in my mind because they were the one band I thought were very good out of those I suffered my way through - The Sensational Alex Harvey Band.  I now find myself humming "The Faith Healer". Better get some Marvin on quick style!

It was rounds of Newcy Brown with that lot so, yes, crap!

The particular gig you asked about, I can remember only three things; white noise, chest crushing bass and ganja fog.

Were you in cv field with a BWFC flag up? If so me and my dad said come on you white men ont first day. He also told me he bumped into a lad from horwich too so there were at least a few of us there. Flaming Lips and The Hives before em were superb. Fat White Family were top on the Friday night. Really enjoyed Misty in Roots, Dubioza Kolektiv and Ferocious Dog too. It's a great festival. Got me ready for Worthy Farm big style
