Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 22, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted September 22, 2021 Good for him. He's had a difficult start over there- reading in the bn that when he first arrived he had to get straight back on a plane back! All due to covid regs. Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted September 23, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted September 23, 2021 I hope Crawford gets his career back on track and earns a permanent move up there. Similarly with Darcy, hopefully he gets game time there and then maybe a L2 loan in January. I’d love him to succeed with us but he needs games away first. Same with Politic. If Politic stays, these could be like 2 new signings next season if they get the game time this season.
TrickyTrotter
Dennis Politic was in the Port Vale squad but didn't get on the pitch. Port Vale are on a good run so He's going to struggle to break into the side. Ronan Darcy came on at half time in Sogndal's 0-0 draw. Whilst midweek goal scorer Allie Crawford's side St Johnstone play at Hibs tomorrow.
TrickyTrotter
In non-league Luke Hutchinson played in Colls 1-1- draw at Stafford. Jay Fitzmartin scored his debut goal for Stalybridge in their 5-2 defeat of FC United. Matt Alexander's Lancaster came from behind twice to beat Ashton Utd 3-2. Not sign of Reiss Greenidge in Barnet's first win of the season, but newly signed ex-trotter Rob Hall was on the bench for Barnet and came on in the 75th minute with the score at 1-1 to help Barnet run out 3-1 winners. No idea of the context of the level of the contest but that's a good cameo.
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 29, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2021 Yes, perhaps that's why Evatt has kept him on the books/new contract. Looks to play the "Evatt way", just needs games.
TrickyTrotter
Darcy came on at half time again today for Sogndal. They were already 1-0 down away to Asane in their League 1 game and that remained the final score. Presumably he's still needs to get fully fit before he can play the whole game. Johnnyrotten
Cracking finish, not sure what position he was playing but where he found himself is exactly where he's at his best. He's an "in the hole" player, similar to Sarce. Less effective as a winger in my opinion, where Hill kept playing him. Capable of running at pace with the ball into the penalty area and when not creating chances, it draws fouls, similar to Dapo. Would love to see him make it at Bolton. Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted October 2, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted October 2, 2021 Aye, definitely better inside. Contract not signed though, at least until fairly recently. Definitely like him to succeed here.
TrickyTrotter
Ronan Darcy started for Sogndal for the first time yesterday in their 1- 1 home draw before being substituted just after the hour. After two 45 minute appearances he’s gradually getting up to full fitness. Ali Crawford played 60 minutes in St Johnstones. 3 - 1 defeat of Dundee. To be fair he had to travel to Norway twice, then had to quarantine when he finally got in and then got an unspecified injury.
TrickyTrotter
Matt Alexander and Adam Senior (making his debut) played the full game for their respective teams yesterday in the Northern Premier League, both were on the losing side. Jay Fitzmartin played 72 minutes for Stalybridge in their 2-1 win over Stafford Rangers. Their third win on the trot. No Luke Hutchinson in Colls FA Cup Third Qualifying Round draw. He didn't play in earlier cup rounds either, so presume we have asked that he isn't cup tied.

TrickyTrotter
This week Port Vale conceded 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to lose, but Politic didn't get on the pitch. No games in Sweden or Scotland for Darcy and Crawford presumably due to Internationals.
