Mantra
Yep Just reminded me that Santos had a few tussles with Hemmings and shrugged him off like he wasn’t even there. Gave me a heart attack second half but overall a very solid performance from last seasons POTY @waddy256 at least give me a reason to! 😂😂 Edited September 6, 2021 by Mantra
Krimzon
The best performance by us in a country mile since we lost at home against Southampton in the Prem in approx 2005. We battered them for 75 minutes and there wasnt a bad performance amongst them . Every single man jack of them had burton on toast . played against 12 men and a bank of 12 . How the fuck they were one of the favourites to go up is shocking I tell ya shocking. We were robbed but we need to get used to how non-entities play as they are all terrified of us and rightly so . Best team in the league easily.

Roger_Dubuis
I don't share the general excitement.I thought Afolayan was the only attacking player who looked dangerous but his final ball wasn't very good.I can't remember Burton's keeper needing to make a save in the second half.Taking off Doyle was an odd substitution when a goal was needed

Burndens Bogs
Most teams that come to the Unibol this season would take a draw beforehand, Burton must be buzzing to get a point after being totally outplayed for 90 minutes. On a more positive note, we had 4 points after 6 games last season. We’re growing stronger.
radcliffe white
We have a very good side not enough back up in certain areas which could catch us out But a very encouraging start to the season
Lt. Aldo Raine
I think Evatt is getting pretty much full value from our players. Our general lack of real quality at this level (Dapo was the only player we had who was capable of drawing players in and beating them) hurt us and meant we failed to take advantage of our domination of possession. But that's just a reflection of where we are currently. Another transfer window or two and I think we'll be capable of winning matches like last night fairly comfortably. Offshore
I had to sleep on this one before commenting, such was my anger/disbelief at the utter incompetance of the ref & linesman. If those 'lost' 2 points cost us at the end of the season then they should be struck off the officials list forever and thrown into a volcano. On a positive note, we played them off the park at times and could have won by 2 or 3 goals. We should have beaten Cambridge as well, and there's the worry, outplaying teams and not scoring or winning. We need to fix that quickly. From a Burton point of view, fair play to them, they defended resolutely and reminded me of our early days in the prem, although I think the fella who got sent off should have been booked way before his first card. In summary, it'll be reet.

Interesting to see if she maintains now it's the business end of the tournament. @bolty58 or any other whites in Oz for that matter. SBS are showing the men's women's quarters onwards. So also the chance to see Djokovic possibly make history.
ZiggyStardust
The imcompetance of the officials was summed up at kick off, when one of the Burton staff was stood on the touchline in White T-Shirt, blue shorts, and white socks. Despite it being the exact combo we was wearing, he was still allowed to stand there the entire game. There may be a rule change I'm unaware off that allows this, but this seemed like a deliberate attempt to confuse the players and officials. Members Rudy
You won’t see a more one sided game all season I’m a big fan of MJ and Lee, I think it gives us more balance Gordon played well, second half he got a bit more adventurous and he looked better. Dapo is a shining light in this league, just excellent

Easy question for you, do you think the goal should have stood ? Was it a penalty ?

HowfenWHITES
I'm a firm believer that luck levels itself out over the course of a season, and despite the frustrations from last night we have to be super proud of that performance from the lads. We are a newly promoted side (some people seem to have forgotten this already) and technically we should still be finding our feet in this league, however it's clear from the first 6 games that we can absolutely challenge for promotion. And that in itself is a massive achievement. Dapo's end product is improving, and if he keeps working on it we have a top top player. The Doyle sub (and the timing of it) was a poor decision. He doesn't offer too much else other than goals, but we are so reliant on him. Unless we are a couple of goals clear we need him on the pitch for 90 mins. Kachunga has a great song and is a fans favourite, but his performance has been lacking recently (almost looked low on conficence??). The 2 chances he had Doyle scores and we walk away with a 2-0 victory and 3 points on the board. I couldn't help but thinking watching Burton was like the years we had under Parky. So dull, so 1 dimensional, so SHIT! Long live the possession winning, football playing whites!
Traf
I think the brilliance of Afolayan tends to overshadow how well Lloyd Isgrove is playing. His workrate and commitment are phenomenal and he had their left back in knots at time last night. His relationship with Jones is a joy to watch at times. DazBob
I'm still pissed off with the disallowed goal. I can live with judgements on penalty shouts, but the disallowed goal smacked of a referee who doesn't know the laws of the game. He had a perfect view to see that Doyle was in no way impeding the keeper or blocking his line of vision. We'll not see a worse decision all season.
