Doyle is devoid of any confidence whatsoever. Needs taking out the firing line and bringing on as a sub til he gets his confidence back problem is we have nobody else to start so don’t have that luxury.

gordon is horrendous. Tries hard but a liability.

isgrove weak on their goal and I thought dapo was well marshalled By them but again gets no protection from the refs in this league who are dreadful. Sarce I dunno I just don’t think we get anywhere near enough end product often enough from Someone who’s clearly talented.

they are not a good side and won’t be up there at end of the season imo.

to top it off got stuck in car park after game for an hour and they just wouldn’t let us out. But thanks to @MickyDfor providing the parking gratis.

Parked on st Mary's multi story, and they were only just letting people off the stadium one as we went past

Aye the stadium one all got out before we did. I nearly blew a gasket and only @London Wandererstopped me from doing something silly.

I was like that getting away from Ipswich. Why they don't put a cop on the roundabout to ensure all get a fair crack at exiting in an orderly fashion

It’s crazy. Like you say a bit of policing and it wouldn’t be half as bad.  But that would rely on the police doing some work of course

As for chances, another day, Doyle scores 3

Without any bias whatsoever

Doyle has never scored 2 for us from open play, in league 2 never mind league 1.  I'm not being critical of him, we know what he's about, but its not realistic to think he'll score more than 1 a game for us.  If we'd equalised Sunderland would have come back at us and he's not the type of striker to hit teams on the break, we need a different type for that.

Do folk think that we should shoot a bit more from outside the box?

Seeing what Sheehan did with that free kick earlier in the season, he can certainly hit a shot with some accuracy.

Open play and dead ball are 2 different things.  Current squad incapable of shooting from distance generally.  I'm always surprised that professional midfielders and forwards are so poor at this seemingly basic skill.   Come back Winstanley,  Cowdrill, Savage, Browny, Philliskirk, Thompson, Darby, Kelly, etc! (and that's just those that did it in 3rd tier).

Just back & still pigsick. Another good performance especially 2nd half when we completely outplayed Sunderland, but again, we're just not getting that final ball / finish right.

Great support, the locals seemed quiet but that may be because we're miles away up on the roof, Santos back to his best & had their forwards in his pocket, Dapo is spending too much time getting involved with referees but was a threat when he got into the game, but MOTM, MJ, if he missed a tackle or misplaced a pass, i didn't see it.

We’re a mid table side

We’ll win some, we’ll lose some

We won’t go up with Gordon, Sarcevic and Doyle in our starting 11.

Happy clappers will want to say I’m wrong, but it’s bollocks. It’s not Evatt’s fault, he hasn’t quite managed to upgrade the squad in all areas, and we’ll probably go up next year, but we have too many faults this year, I’ll just enjoy the pretty football and a 8-14th finish.

No malice meant but if we start next season with Doyle, Sarce and Isgrove then we aren’t progressing.

No shame in that. 8 months ago, we were looking at a League 2 relegation battle.
