We were ten times worse with bakayoko and hoofball. The 'get the ball forward' crew get on my tits. It's fucking shite watching your keeper hoof a ball upfield in the hope something happens.

When we get the ball on the floor we are better. We are built to play out from the back. Sometimes we are too patient but we are a work in progress.

I'll take passing it around the back 4 over long ball any day of the week.

There are times (& the last 10 minutes tonight were one of them) where you get the ball forward quickly & make them defend in horrendous conditions so you might benefit from the kind of howler we conceded.

This is the bad patch we all hoped wouldn’t happen but was always likely given the depth of the squad.

What the club doesn’t need are supporters acting like knob ends and turning on them.

If we knew best we’d be managing the club, but we’re not so let’s just remain calm.

Its currently shite, let’s give all concerned a chance to put it right eh?

Well said

Brockbank isn’t good enough , Gordon has his faults but does try to get forward

Sarc scores we are back in it as we definitely shaded the second half

Last goal farcical but conditions to blame although Dixon’s decision making was shite on that one.

I thought Brockbank did OK until that suicidal pass to Gordon, but generally was sound in possession and I disagree Gordon gets forward more, there were a few times Brockbank overlapped, possibly more than Gordon.  But saying that everyone waiting for John to return, I've not noticed much of a difference between the 2 this season.  They both have qualities but for next season I'd like to see a bit more pace and strength at left back.

Brockbank ain’t making the grade at Bolton, good luck to the lad and he’ll have a career but it won’t be here.

Good god.

Another shambles.

Concede first again.

Don’t score again.

Never mind anyway.

Blue sky thinking and all that, instead of the reality.

I’m bone dry and sat at home, ready for bed.

And like Saturday it took the opposition 6 minutes to stick one in the back of our net.Far too easy to score against

We’re nowhere near where we want to be but I think it takes 4/5 years of solid recruitment & investment and good decision making to be in a position to consistently win football matches, see Brentford, that’s our model.

Anywhere in those will do for me tbh

Yeah, me too.  How anyone thought we'd be challenging the top 6 with our lack of strikers and squad depth is anyone's guess.  Happy where we are, just need a goal and a win Saturday to stop a poor run becoming a real concern.

Maybe when John is fit play him at right back, back to basics Saturday 1-0 win

No chance. I honestly can’t recall him using his right foot. He is one of those players who relies heavily on his dominant foot. Just watch him next time he plays

You do know we played water polo for most of the second half?

We made a woeful start and were shell shocked 1st half.  I feared the worst.

I was more encouraged 2nd half.   I thought we were much better but scoring goals remains issue.  Sarce should have buried his chance and Kachunga should have shot instead of passing when through on goal.  One of those go in and we were back in it.  Last goal was farcical and caused by the weather, nothing else.  Ref would never have started the game in those conditions but was determined to finish it.

We need to get our best 11 fit and rebuild from there.  Jones looks out for weeks so right back remains an issue.  Don't see many credible options beyond Brocky.  John has been in and out with injuries or illness all season, not sure what is going on with him.  But when he's fit he plays ahead of Gordon.

I still fancy us this season.

But why does it need to be one or the other?, why can't you have a physical presence up front and still play football into feet etc, they don't need to alter the fundamentals.

I haven't watched tonight but doenst sound like Bakayoko has done much unfortunately.

However, which ever way you cut it that is 14 games!!, almost a third of the season, without a goal from open play from our striker!! That has to raise questions of the formations and tactics if nothing else, that is a crazy stat.

@MickyDI know you're on shannonwatch but I've just received an audition tape of seddon

Not particularly edifying

She needs someone to take her to one side and try to tell her she's making a complete and utter dick of herself.  Like addiction to anything else; drugs,  alcohol,  gambling, etc., she's got to see it herself and until she realises the gangs of lads, many who are old enough to know better, egging her on aren't doing it because they're her friends but because they see a weakness in her need to be centre of attention. Until she gets that,  she can't be helped.
