DomRepWanderer
Seems their takeover is all but done, new owners minted to fuck, make City's owners look like paupers, so will money get them where their fans have always thought they should be? DazBob
Newcastle fans deserve this. They've been treated worse than any fans in the history of football under Mike Ashley.
Dr. Feelgood
More hype, this time with a Geordie accent. Just like City prior to the money, been a car-crash on loop for more than a decade. We cannot have 92 simply relying on crazy, money-no-object putsiders buying in. The bubble will burst eventually.

Whitestar
Newcastle had money before, in the 90s they were probably one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe but never got them any silverware. Their deluded fans think they have had it hard? Phhttt!. TBH if you get chatting to the real honest ones, they're just happy to be in the top flight and would take a lower mid table finish all day long. They always struggle to hang on to any decent players due to the location being in the north east and has zero glamour club potential. Duck Egg
I'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out. It'll drive the prices up for average players, the big daft clubs will spend even more on agents along with dafter small clubs. Utd's odds of winning anything will have lengthened too due to another competitor. Most of all though, this being Newcastle, you just know they're still going to feck it up and end up killing the goose thats laid the golden egg. Moderators Casino Posted October 7, 2021 Moderators Share Posted October 7, 2021 Proper rival for city now Those players who aren't driven by playing for a proper big club, now have a choice of where to sell themselves for money

Mantra
Happy for Newcastle fans, deluded as some of them are. Spurs and Arsenal can wave goodbye to Top-4 for the foreseeable. City got taken over in 2008 and were Champions by 2012. Wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle got there sooner. Money isn't everything mind, need to make good decisions too. The uber-rich will continue to buy up Premier League clubs until all 20 PL clubs are owned by Billionaires. Not sure that's great news for the English game overall but short-term, certainly throws the cat amongst the pigeons.
