Newcastle fans deserve this.  They've been treated worse than any fans in the history of football under Mike Ashley.

I trust you are being sarcastic.

They have never played in the third or fourth tiers. Their fans have it cushy, Ashley kept them from going bust.

No sarcasm at all. No other club's fans have suffered so gravely.

Newcastle had money before, in the 90s they were probably one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe but never got them any silverware.

Their deluded fans think they have had it hard? Phhttt!.

TBH if you get chatting to the real honest ones, they're just happy to be in the top flight and would take a lower mid table finish all day long. They always struggle to hang on to any decent players due to the location being in the north east and has zero glamour club potential.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.  It'll drive the prices up for average players, the big daft clubs will spend even more on agents along with dafter small clubs.  Utd's odds of winning anything will have lengthened too due to another competitor.

Most of all though, this being Newcastle, you just know they're still going to feck it up and end up killing the goose thats laid the golden egg.

Happy for Newcastle fans, deluded as some of them are.

Spurs and Arsenal can wave goodbye to Top-4 for the foreseeable. City got taken over in 2008 and were Champions by 2012. Wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle got there sooner.

Money isn't everything mind, need to make good decisions too.

The uber-rich will continue to buy up Premier League clubs until all 20 PL clubs are owned by Billionaires. Not sure that's great news for the English game overall but short-term, certainly throws the cat amongst the pigeons.
