Proper football fanatics Newcastle fans so I have no problem with the sun shining on them for a while. Potentially now, another brick in the northern wall of football supremacy which only Chelsea realistically have any hope of interrupting.

Yes they have deluded fans but those fans are now going to see success and players they could have only dreamed of. I’m not sure why they’re getting so much hate, the game has been going this way for years.

Aye no problem from me. They were going to be bought, gone are the days of a local business man who owned a fish stall buying clubs

All clubs have some loyal fans.Newcastle just don't have enough fans to generate the revenue to win trophies.

Like i said, city have most to lose in england

Nowt other than the manager and money to attract players

At least newcastle are the biggest club in their city

Are you suggesting the rags are in theirs using the history model much fancied by Liverpool?

How does that work then?

Newcastle came close a few times in the late 90s to winning the league and cup, it wasn't lack of revenue or fans that stopped them

As I scroll further down Rog nailed my previous point. Red scousers and Rags are almost inseparable in their thought process. I’d love them to leave so we could get on with things

That is nonsense.

Utd get 72,000 invariably, but haven’t won the league for years.

Saudis largest funder of extremism in the UK..  links to boko Haram, ISIS and Al Qaeda.. I think I'm happy to stick with what we've got thanks

Alan shearer made some good points earlier. Owners with dodgy links all over, and we've got a world Cup in Qatar.

If we're going to shout about Newcastle, we should shout about them all.

Forgot to mention, living up here the talk about the North East being a hot bed of football is boring and largely bollocks.. north east population is only a bit smaller then greater manchesters (no such place) yet there are 4 league clubs there and 7 in GM with bury and stockport being there not so long ago..

I can see United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Europe's historic clubs forming their own league without the oil clubs

So the problem with the rapidly withdrawn European Super League was the oil.

Shave those out & the proposal can return.

Or am I misunderstanding you ??

My Uncle who has sadly just passed away was a huge City fan his whole life. Genuine home and away regular, but also knew enough about other clubs that you could have a good chat with him about the whites (RIP).

He'd get all misty eyed when he talked about the 'old city'. Much as he enjoyed the success that money brought - I always had this feeling that he didn't enjoy it in the same way as he did back prior to the foreign investment. The spark had gone a little and it was never quite the same for him.

I imagine this will be similar for a lot of proper fans up in Newcastle in a year or two.

For me - as things stand I've got a club and a set up I can be proud of. It feels like it represents Bolton and its people. And I don't think anyone should underestimate how important that is. Especially in this day and age. To me at least.
