Exactly and we weren’t that good against Crewe.

people who question your commitment as a supporter because you are sick of watching this shit are half the problem.

It's your choice whether to go to a game or not.

I don't go to anywhere like the number I used to, other things in life and frankly, after Parkyball and Megson I don't get the same level of enjoyment out of going as I used to. Been good this last year or so obviously.

Sometimes, if you're not enjoying it, a break is worthwhile.

Why? Just don't go if you don't want to go. Why would you care what anyone else says?

This not being arsed is a bit of a mystery. If it was a second string side in the pizza cup, fine. But it wasn't, predominantly first choice players who seemingly couldn't be bothered.

Not the result per se, as on the day upsets happen, but the manner was just unacceptable.

It's not panic stations by any means, but something isn't right. If that is an issue with the manager and some players, then it needs resolving quickly. If that means a few go, so be it, but fv will need to spend a bit.

Recent performances haven't been good, though the second half against Crewe was much better and we deserved the win.

Come January, we don't want to be looking over our shoulders. If we want to attract better than we've got, then prospective players will surely be more comfortable if they can see the opportunity for a bit of a challenge at the top end like last year.

A team still lacking in belief and performing poorly just isn't as attractive.

Aye its just the way I feel. Probably more pissed off about it than I should be but I honestly thought we were done rolling over for teams never mind non league ones.

I cant just say its the cup it doesn't matter and the idea Evatt was making a point to FV? Come on not having that. I think the Evatt experiment is in serious jeopardy and I don't think that's an over reaction. I hope I'm wrong I really do. Let's see where we are in January

Hope you’re right

but I don’t share your thoughts

Me neither to be honest.

At first I'd have said no chance, but last night was something else.

It might not be a split between the gaffer and players, but maybe something with Evatt himself.  It was noticeable after the Gillingham fight back how emotional he was.

After the Crewe win, I thought we'd pick up. Just hope it was nothing more than a poorly times celebration on Sunday.

The most worrying thing about last night is we started lumping the ball quite early not surprisingly we were losing 50-50 tackles all over the pitch .It Was so unEvatt like in every respect .

Their right winger had to have taken some performance enhancing drug , he was manic , skinned John obviously.

Agree we need a large beast to accompany Santos in the back four.

Jonstone was way to weak in his challenges.

Some sympathy for Isgrove playing out of position , one of the few to put a shift in.

Bottom line is most of Stockport’s team are league one standard & that’s where we have just come from.

I thought Lee looked very poor last night, yes he has some nice touches here and there but the game passed him by completely, he looked no better than Comley. I know everyone else was garbage too, but he comes with a pedigree. Another in the too soft category for me as well.

He was supposed to be rested last night. He's 33, and generally runs here there and everywhere. He's not the biggest specimen but works really hard. Also has some injury history, so if he needs his workload managing then that's fine.

What I don't get, is why he and a 19 year old were left on their own.

Stockport fan back in peace rather than to gloat

Had a read through comments on here and generally some positive comments about us, met young lad who does the VLOG is thogden and said i thought we would get beat in extra time pre-match, he's a credit to your club

In end have to say i thought we were worthy winners and if we had lost would be bemoaning beating ourselves by defending like utter bell ends, but we look a threat every time we go forward now, a far cry away from the turgid dross we produced prior to Challinor arrival

Our players left every ounce of energy and sinew out on the pitch yesterday and generally wanted it more

was shouting at our players by tunnel at HT that if we cut out the daft defending we would win and it was only our shite defending that made it the contest it was, it was our shite defnding that made it the game it was

You guys defo lack presence upfront and in midfield by sounds of it Williams is a big miss for you

FOr us its all about instilling belief and gauging where we are at and can mix it with higher division teams, we are evidently better than our league position suggests so youd hope that will transfer into our league form otherwise its all for nowt

Intensity of our play was impressive, thought pitch invasion was over zealous on our part and seemed CHallinor had some choice words for them which is fair, though i can understand our fans reaction considering the utter drivel weve endured last 10 years, he a man with exacting standards and if club gets where it hopes to be should be holding our own in games and hoping for battles with clubs like yourselves every week as the norm

Enjoyed the two games naturally from my perspective, best of luck for rest of season

The 'dressing room' and evatt are fine

Recent results have been disappointing

it's the performances that have been disappointing

totally different to the team at the start of the season

first 10 games, generally playing very well regardless of result

last 8, generally very shit regardless of result

I think that our team is in the main league 2 players.

I also think that it’s a credit that our manager has been able to get these players to perform and over achieve.

I also think that as the season goes on and injuries and knocks occur this will affect the level of performance of our players.

Jones, Williams, Doyle and Sarcevic all big misses

Hindsight, Baptiste should've been in last night

Anyway, I'm not arsed

I am very arsed - everywhere you go round here now, there are county fans that have crawled out of the wood work. You would think they have won the champions league.

Always said I don’t mind seeing us get beat, but only if we have given everything and we gave nothing last night.  No excuse for not working and tackling.

every one of our players would have failed the mirror test. (Did I do my best)

a complete shambles - every single one of them.

great curry pre game though - the highlight of the night.  Oh yes and going home.

What stuff is he talking about there then?

well says a lot whilst saying very little

hopefully it's not one of those "those who know football" type statements

To those that say it doesn't matter/its only the cup etc, each to their own.  I couldn't sleep, I suppose the late finish didn't help but as much as I wanted to shake it off it seeped deep into my conscious and never left me all night.  Sheer shock, disappointment, embarrassment and a bit of anger that IE is overseeing such a soft, flimsy, insipid team.

Aside from that, I've spent parts of the day apologising.  Because for much of the last week I've mentioned this game to so many people, who never ever watch BWFC.  "We're on BBC2 on Wednesday, big cup game, sold out" - friends, neighbours, my Mum, plenty of family members who support other clubs, workmates - thinking as a minimum we would look the classier side, as we did for most of the first game, and if we did lose, it would be unlucky or against the run of play.

Not a chance, we chose our only game on terrestrial TV in donkeys years to put in arguably our worst, most embarrassing display.  That's damaging to the club, just as Stockport will rightly gain fans with their heroics, we will lose potential fans and goodwill with that display.   I find it difficult to equate caring about the club, with not caring when our reputation takes a big hit.  On the back of the membership farce which will also cost us fans, we could have done without this.

Where is that from?

Its actually very unhelpful; if it can't be discussed, don't mention it.

Address the issue with the relevant parties and move on ASAP.

Mr Hart and his communication surely needed here?

If you read it in the full context is he not just talking about the illness going around the squad?

“(Williams) had some hot and cold sweats and a bad throat. He’s been back in today, feeling much better. Obviously the doc gave him some meds on Tuesday, which has helped him.

“Dapo was suffering yesterday but still wanted to put himself forward and play. He’s off today, we’re hopeful that he will be okay for the weekend.

“And there are two or three others who have been dealing with it. There is a lot of it going round, but as I said we aren’t going to make excuses.
