Took the sprog up on the tops to get some photos for her homework this was the pick of the bunch.

Bolton Really does have some beautiful country spots

I recognise where the first 2 are.  Where's the penultimate one taken? We go all over with the dog but that footpath doesn't look at all familiar.

The moors and Rivvy are ace.  We've a lot to love in and around Bolton.

First ones are from Chorley old

Entwhistle reservoir I’d live there if I could

Think I’ve thrown a Clifton country park in there as well

Yep. Well put. It’s a great place to live.

The view from the Two Lads at the top of Winter Hill is fantastic. Around fifty miles within eyesight, ranging from (I think) the edge of the North York Moors to the Fylde coast, and including Manchester city centre, the hills of the Peak District, the Clwyd mountain range in North Wales, Liverpool docks, Blackpool tower and, of course, our fine old town and football stadium.

On a clear day in summer it's even possible to see the occasional oil tanker in the Irish sea.

Lived in a fair few places around the country, I think everywhere has had some lovely parts (even some of the shitholes)

Love living in deepest South London, half an hour and I'm on the downs or some fantastic spaces - London being one of the greenest cities in the world and the world's first National Park City. From our house, you can just see trees all the way into Crystal Palace and lovely places like Sydenham Hill Woods.

Miss the moors down here and the wilder spaces, but feel pretty lucky.
