With the Umbro retro stuff, I get the impression that Macron aren’t too bothered about that side of things, so we could see a licenced Reebok retro range rather than the actual kit. Which, let’s be honest, would be fucking mega. Quote

I meant the stadium naming, just forgot to quote it and then my timing was off. I just can’t see they’re arsed about making our kit, and I doubt there’s a way that they are our kit sponsor whilst Macron make it. Stadium naming rights is a bigger deal for them in general, then factor in the current clamour for ‘retro’ and the noise I expect it could make on social media etc. with the return to “The Reebok” - “streets will never forget” and all that shit. It’d be worth it just for that initial burst of media attention (in the grand scheme of what it would cost them), and then they get named every weekend thereafter on national tv. If it is the case, and Mr Toughsheet has stepped aside, then he’s in top top fan status (as if he wasn’t already by chucking shit loads of cash into the club). Proper put your ego aside stuff. Quote
TrickyTrotter Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Suspect it’s not far off in terms of rank order as opposed to the amount, relegated clubs will have legacy costs. Donkey lashers look the most obvious outlier. Quote
masi 51 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Barnsley seems a little low....Cannot imagine Connell, Phillips, Kellior Dunne and McGoldrick on low Salaries Quote
tomski Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Seeing a load of premier league fans moaning this weekend. Supporting your local seems to be finally reaping its rewards. Love the videos at the services. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a good ride. Quote

The well has only so much water and you cannot keep expecting the Swiss to keep topping it up. SS made a profit on Sales this Summer the only time since FV bought the club out. Replacing the whole off field management team will have cost more than what we paid on Transfer Fees Quote
gonzo Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I can't think of many we'd currently get any decent for. Conway maybe if his form picks up, with age on his side. Gale? Quote

Wont be a case of getting money for players.....More stop paying them for being in the stands week in, week out Dalby on another 42 month contract and Taylor with 30 months remaining are also a worry Quote

Even if we were doing well and manage to get promoted, he was never going to make the step up to the Championship, so you’ve got a player with 3 years left who can only really go back down to L1 where hardly any teams pay a fee - madness! Depends if we can move them on, we have no way of knowing their wages but i expect them to be significant for this league but behind Randall,Mcatte and Schon who Evatt paid over 3m for and also give them long contracts We paid no fees for Either Dalby or Taylor Quote

Sharon and co having ambitions and 'backing their managers' (albeit in a slightly more reserved way with SS) has been laudable but the lengths of contracts they've signed off seem a bit ill-advised. We never know of course when they're in for a player who else is in, what they're offering and what it takes to push the rivals out and get their man, but when it ends up with the likes of Dalby and Taylor being on our books till 2029 on the back of solid form for mid-table SPL sides, it leaves you wondering a bit about where they were prepared to draw lines. If it is the case money's tight, and it wouldn't be a surprise, deals of the like of McAtee to Barnsley might be more easily agreed to and less if any strings attached. Quote

Whitestar Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I'd send them all back, they're achieving nothing being here at the moment. Quote

Dalby has been pretty poor (from a goals per game ratio) his entire career, apart from for a short period of time in the pub league north of the border. The fact that he's not been very good for us, and hasn't whacked a load of goals in shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anybody really Quote

BWFC_LOVE Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Know nothing about our funds, fact is the squad is full and we can’t afford to have players on decent wages who are barely getting a look in (if at all). We beat Wrexham to sign McAtee. Randall was £1m+, Taylor, Morley, Adebayejo; all of these you’d imagine are on unsustainable money given their minimal playtime. Quote
