Members DazBob
If performances on the pitch don't change and Evatt remains in charge then anger is going to start to be directed at the owners, and that really would be a shame.

Yes and whilst I agree it would be a shame. They’ve left themselves wide open for it.
gonzo
The only thing they are guilty of is being loyal and offering a man every chance to put things right before they sack him. Hardly tennis ball time.

maaarsh
Has he been telling Ian the opposition have not seen the cut out and take home guide to stuffing us that every team in the league is currently in possession of? Unless he's poisoning the players beggars belief that opposition analysis is the problem and not our own 1 track approach.

We'll just have to wait and see what the changes produce. Given our progress up until Wembley you could say they were good football people. Now they've made a judgement call, it's time to just get behind the team. They are business people too- and that will tell one way or the other. He admits his misakes, changes the formation a bit, and basically tells them they're at risk of being frozen out by a new manager, seems like he's not one for going down without a fight and the players could do with that mentality. I'd be tempted to play around with the formation to try and win the midfield playing to our strenghs maybe. He's said we dont have the players but we have a decent enough team to try something different.

It sounds unimportant in some ways, but the owners need someone to take the team for an important league game, plus a prestigious trip to Arsenal a few days later. If IE goes they give themselves a bit of a short term problem with little to gain. I'm not aware of any coaches we have that wouldn't be following IE out of the door when the day does come, eg a Jimmy Phillips or a David Lee of the past. Could be a factor, or not.
