So, some games have been called off due to positives on the day

Which says folk catch it on match day...no surprise there

Taking away on the day testing means its more likely itll rip through a dressing room on matchday

Shutting down the club for another week or so

Brilliant

Agreed. At best it’s Ill thought out with scant regard for what happens after.

Agree.

Stopping testing, becasue it might show something up?

More injuries incoming too potentially. 20 cases is a lot.

A bit of sense at last

Hardly.

Every chance of more cases, and therefore more postponements later.

Reading Evatt's comments in the BN, we're fucked. 20 cases all told amongst players and staff, with a number still not breathing too well etc. More cases spread around in a dressing room with no tests beforehand, and we could be looking at another couple of weeks with no games.

Late postponements are indeed shite, though just at the moment, it could he the lesser of two evils. Time will tell.

Suppose they could’ve gone for early morning tests that would be better

Absolutely.

Test them early. Home players at the ground away at the hotel (or their own ground if it's close by).

Reading the article in the BN, it's actually quite concerning. Someone, somewhere could get badly hurt by this. Being forced into playing whilst suffering from post viral symptoms is a dangerous way to go.

Fairly sure a few years ago a rugby player died after coming back too soon after flu or something. Body just couldn't cope.

As it happens, I hope Evatt doesn't play anyone still suffering, although he says he'll have to. Rather him play kids as necessary.

Likely to be no worse than a team full of panting half-fits.

The perverse thing about this, is the chance one of our lot causes a big outbreak in the Rotherham camp, when they've currently got none!

Not sure they'll be impressed by that.

Tried to get 2 tickets, calling numerous times both yesterday and today.

After around a minute of ringing out each time, the phone hangs up and eventually I gave up.

Incompetent bastards.

They don’t deserve support.

Yeah, it rings out for exactly 60 seconds before cutting off.
I started around 9.30 this morning and got sorted at about 10.45.

Went this morning to collect some tickets few people tipped up & turned away as not ordered over the phone

i know these are away sales so probably not arsed but if this needs looking at no staffing issues as plenty about why can’t a member just tip up?

Depressingly shit.

I've not felt less enthused about a game since Parky.

Fair play to you.

Its not acceptable service though in my opinion. We are paying customers trying to buy a ticket for a football match.

The membership scheme is an ill timed farce, as is the fact that you cannot order in person.

The comms from the club were poor for this game too and only re-communicated via the website yesterday, when all-ticket game was mentioned, hence no POTD.

So a lot of people who have held off buying due to the potential postponement have less than 48 hours to sort tickets out and then nobody answers the bloody phone.

Anyway no doubt I will be glad come 5PM tomorrow.

😄

I was doing other stuff at the same time, so pressing redial with a headset on was no hardship.

But I totally agree that the whole thing is a shambles.

So you can’t buy a ticket in person, but you can buy it over the phone - speaking to someone in the very place where you’re stood - and then collect it from the same place? That’s just pure fucking barmy (and hugely unnecessary), isn’t it?!

Will be a similar charade for me on Tuesday for Hartlepool tickets, so I suppose I might as well ring up before I leave home.
