Site Supporter MickyD Posted December 11, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2021 Their unplayed European Conference game, postponed due to Covid, will now not go ahead and the disciplinary board will decide who goes forward to the next round. This’ll be interesting.

Site Supporter MickyD Posted December 11, 2021 Author Site Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2021 I know. “A suitably convenient date” couldn’t be agreed. Now what though? Toss of a coin? Spurs having Covid puts them out?

Members Rudy
It’s spurs who forfeited the game so they’ll lose 3-0.

ZiggyStardust
I assume Doncaster will be asking to be involved in the decision ?
Lt. Aldo Raine
I think it'd be more of a punishment to keep them in
Johnnyrotten
Orient were kicked out of the EFL cup last season because their game was called off due to covid. Coincidentally they were due to play Spurs who got a bye. It will get interesting if its later stages of cup competitions in March/April, or even more so if league games aren't fulfilled towards end of season (as opposed to whole league being curtailed like 2 years ago). Aye. Their opponents aren't happy about spurs making a "unilateral" decision neither. Not sure what spurs are meant to do though.

That, for me should be enough not to have to play, however, if some of these are omicron, then anyone at the club who is a contact will also have to isolate. Norwich have a few too, and it's likely to get worse. Expect more postponements in the coming weeks.

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 11, 2021 Site Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2021 Just now, Gonk said: But it wasn't, it was 8 players though, plus 5 backroom & other staff Fair enough, but we don't know how many contacts there are too. Still makes sense for me for clubs not to play when a big outbreak occurs. The Spanish outbreak amongst medical staff after a party, despite antigen tests prior to it, highlights the potential problem.
