If your conservatory is on the same circuit as the socket for the router, get a powerlink/powerline whatever

Used to be in maplins but prob on amazon

Another vote for these. The WiFi extenders are shite - providing you can but a powerline and plug into that - you've pretty much for full internet all the way around the house.

Think they're about £50 for 2 on Amazon and you can add to them around the house. We've got 4 in now.

Took about 3 minutes to install about a year ago and I've had no issues since...... 👍

These are the ones I bought! Tremendous job they've done. Like Casino says - you just need to be on the same electric powerline to use them.

Possibly stupid question, but would they work down an extension lead?

Yes, but dont if you can help it.

The ones linked have a plug on the back.  Plug the extension lead into that, not the other way round

I'm with BT and my WiFi is shit in my new conservatory, what's the best option for me?

if you RIng BT up and complain they will send you a wifi extender booster disc. You can get 4 of them but have to ring individually for them. we have one on every floor and it has made a huge difference. can work on any level now with good wifi

Cheers, my PC isn't near a socket and I run a lead to it.

Fair enough.  Yes then.

The signal it sends goes through the massive thick electrical cables in your wall.  The wire on the extension lead is pitiful  in comparison.  I  suppose it depends just how fast you need it.

I'd opt to plug it into the wall and run a long ethernet, if its just for browsing and porn though it will be reet.

Thinly veiled "I've bought a four-storey property" post.
