Whatever he was doing I’d like him to come back and do it again if I’m honest. We were better to watch.

Well we weren’t when we played Wigan at home - amongst others.

Lets not forget that when we started our run towards promotion last season Sarcs was injured for about 8 games and didn’t play.

Things may have been even worse if he was still here, if something untoward did happen.

That said, things are no better since. Can only hope new signings give the place a boost.

He's a centre forward and nothing else, for me. And one with a streaky goal scoring record at that, but that's a different story. Playing him on the wing is an absolute waste of time, may as well stick Fossey there now Jones is back. Or try Dapo on the right to shake it up because he's another one who's gone missing.

Agree entirely, I was banging that drum from the minute he handed Wigan their first goal, absolute fish out of water on the wing and even more so when asked to defend, an accident waiting to happen and it usually does.  What possesses a manager to sign a centre forward then play them right midfield?  Round pegs in round holes is the absolute bear minimum requirement of any team selection surely.

Just back 1st half played quite well in spells,2nd half absolute dog shit

Baka should never play out wide again,John needs dropping he was shite and fozzie mom.Santos needs to go back to basics and stop thinking he's got all the time in the world and speed his fucking passes up.Mj was OK but thought he was part at fault for the 1st,just close the man down

Agree with that, he played quite well overall, but in real time and without watching it back, at the time we were screaming "get closer", "put a challenge in", instead it was an open invite to have a pot shot against a keeper that isn't likely to save it.  So frustrating, just not getting the basics right, the tackle should have been made and if not the keeper should save it, instead we get neither and we know that will happen again before long.

We are crying out for a formation change, Fossey and John crying out to be set free.  Some positives tonight, Jones was superb when he came on, Fossey great second half, Charles looks lively, on the down side we need a new midfield, Bakayoko & Delf we’re utterly shocking, and Lee continues to under perform.

I didn't see it that way.  I thought Lee was the one consistent player, always showing for the ball, always threading passes through mainly to Fossey/Baka/Jones but also spreading the play when he could.  Orchestrated a superb move in 2nd half, the one when he got Fossey clear down the right in the box.  The downside is he's yet another player that is never a goal threat from outside the 6 yard box , hasn't got a decent shot in him, and IEs inability to put together a midfield that has goals in it is a real blot on his record nearly as bad as the set piece and goalkeeping fiascos.

He’s just to lightweight for me, his tippy tappy style isn’t good enough to make up for the weakness in the other areas in his game.

That's what Evatt wants.

Lee suits it, and when we're on song and playing with a tempo, all is well.

It's just all gone to ratshit.

Sorry

I hadn't realised on the night how poor Dixon was for both goals, its like having a young kid in goal.  Some have commented on here that he's not one of our main problems, its all opinions, but mine is I'd say he's the number one issue and everything else can be sorted after we've got a decent keeper in.

He should have comfortably saved the first one granted, but i don’t think there’s a keeper in the League that would have saved the 2nd one.

Lee is good enough, Thommason just isn't ready yet, he was nowhere near the first team at the start of the season

Isgrove, Tuttee, Sheehan, Sarcevic, Katchunga, all being in the running ahead of him.. it's needs must though

Afolayan seems a shell of himself, confidence has taken a proper knock.

Baka isn't a midfielder, but also appears to not be a 90 minute player.. works well as a sub but every game he's started he's just not made much impact

We need a battler.. and or someone who can come in a captain as Santos seems to have bee struggling since stepping up. Need him at his best.

Reckon that's not it. Recently he's been getting absolutely battered by opposition players.

Teams know he's a threat now and put a bruiser on him and take him out of the game.

To be fair to Dapo he doesn't go down like a sack of shit but he's taking more than his fair share of flack in my view.

I'd need to see a re run but I'm pretty sure he played 2 through balls early doors last night that the rest of our lot and most of our league could only dream of

He then got kicked out of the game and we had nobody to replace him

I think Lee is also suffering due to pitching up most weeks

Aye. He's still one of our best players.

The fact opponents know this isn't a reason to drop him for our bench consisting of Delf or kids...

Stretch Armstrong would’ve got to it. Is he available on loan?

I wouldn’t say ‘comfortably save’, but the four lads infront of the shot could of done more to protect him and it was a perfectly placed shot.  The save with the one on one in the first half was superb keeping as well, he did everything spot on.

Or Chubby Mann, of Rockley Rangers, better known as Legge's XI.  A fat colour blind goalkeeper who let in 172 goals in a season until the coaching skills of Professor Calculus and his robot assistant came to the team's aid.

Regrettably he was consumed by Captain Hurricane.

Agreed, I just meant the distribution was so bad, of course there's plenty of time to stop the goal after that, and its a cracking finish that's fairly unsaveable, but unfortunately its another mistake that led to a goal.  Just taking the last 3 we've conceded, he's played a part in them all, they were all avoidable.

Yep. Not much use in winning free kicks neither, for obvious reasons.
