  • Well what a day. Up at 7.00 , thought about knocking on for Jeep as I strolled past his gated abode. Early morning rattler from Howfen. Met Early Dart on the train , grabbed a coffee at Piccadily

Blimey.    my lad was in tears at 88mins. For the simple fact he’d put all his heart in to us scoring, it’s his first proper season. He’s been to Sheff Weds and Accrington prior to today. He wa

Just for info. if anyone is arriving by train, or going into the town centre it's barely a 20 minute walk for those who do that sort of thing.

Town is, obviously, full of boozers. Closer to the ground not so many and likely to be less welcoming to largish numbers of away fans.

.... and the Abbey has a magnificent array of ancient stained glass which the monks kept despite Henry VIII's destructive tendencies. For those who do THAT sort of thing !

Stained glass mentioned on a match thread. Fantastic.

Magnificent effort.

Just hope we can actually perform well in front of a large away following for once.

I fancy us to win on Saturday.

Addition of Morley, Charles & Fossey plus Jones’ return has had a really positive effect.

From the river bridge, yeah. Unless, as said below, you gave likkle legsues ... or emphysema. Add 5 maybe. But, basically, it's not that far.

According to Google maps it's 2.3 miles from the train station.

1.7 miles from the bridge!

You must be a fast walker if you can do that in 20 minutes!! 😁

It was a fucking mooch I remember that but the weather was nice so wasn’t arsed

I cocked up last time and bought tickets that arrive at 09:30 rather than depart at 09:30. Get on the train, on trots @leigh white who we assumed had made the same mistake. “Arrives half an hour later than I was hoping” was his response.

In +3 on train

Must be getting old, on the 9-30 from Manc to Shrewsbury, I need some sleep after tomorrows night game at Saints.

We’re on the same train, see you there (well, see you at Saints tonight, in fact).

There’s a fair few folk asking for tickets on various Facebook groups not just for this but previous games and morecambe
