Blimey.    my lad was in tears at 88mins. For the simple fact he’d put all his heart in to us scoring, it’s his first proper season. He’s been to Sheff Weds and Accrington prior to today. He wa

Took both my lads on their first away today and glad I did. Last min winner in front of the fans, a solid If not spectacular affair. In a premier Inn now in the middle of hillbilly land, they'll alway

Shrewsbury or Caribbean not contest you missed it, first time I’ve seen H sober

Hope you took a picture

Add Kevin Davies last minute to practically relegate wolves at their place to the last minute winner list.

Away from the football,  just how nice is Shrewsbury? All the half-timbered buildings were a fantastic sight.

I am 10 min from Chester, 25m from lovely Nantwich, 30m from Shrewsbury. Love them all.

When things are getting fruity “run run whoever you maybe”

I always thought it was "wherever" you may be...anyway, it was great that "we are the B W F C" fit so perfectly into the song, there are hardly any other clubs with 3 syllables in their initials and the likes of Chelsea have to put "famous" in there to make it work.  Our's always sounded more authentic and it got sung at the majority of games I was at in the Burnden years.

Laughing at the Shrewsbury spotters who kept coming in the various pubs in town, you would have thought the kicking they took in Bolton might have taught them a lesson .

You are correct, it was “Wherever you may be”

also, you’re going home in a… wasn’t St John’s Ambulance it was fucking ambulance.

One other song we gave an airing to on train home was,

Who’s that coming up the hill boys? Get it back in the repertoire.

I remember another very late pen

At bristol rovers in charlie wrights caretaker spell

Was that the 2-1 match around February time when we hadn't picked up a single point away from home all season and Rovers were unbeaten at home? I remember it was an open end and it pissed down all the way through and then we had to walk along a high wooden sided path across the car park to exit the ground, all the while the home fans were lobbing rocks at us. Great feeling though, can't beat a late winner.

Def pissed down

I think wright had 3 games and won them all

Got it perm and we reverted to type

Nah, it’s “Whoever you may be”, “wherever you may be” doesn’t make sense. The song is implying it doesn’t matter who you are, not wherever they are.

It changes so much. Football does that. Had it not happened we'd be OK with a hard fought draw. Had it gone the other way I'd not have been on here, or anywhere, talking football. I'd not feel uplifted. I'd be dreading next week.

Fine margins.

I was happy with the draw considering the home record they’ve got, but that’s just cowardice on my behalf I suppose, we have to take what’s coming be it good or bad in reality and thankfully it went our way this time.

Not 100% but I think Tony Caldwell at Rochdale in the FRT 1985 was last minute.

Bet he told you that once or twice!! 🤣

We might not have many original songs but the Shrewsbury forum had a few mentions about how loud our support was, the best they'd seen this season, out sang Sheffield Wednesday etc

Just needs a few creative lads to come up with something and sing it on the bus going in.  If it's any good we'd all be singing it by half-time

Hands touching hands ,reaching out ..touching me etc etc ...sweet Dion Charles your goals make me feel so good ,so good etc ..... we need some new songs ..come on
