Dr. Feelgood
So, after 144 years as just plain 'Everton' it looks like they'll be changing their name. There may be an early flurry, but until they get themselves organised, ship out a pile of coasting players and pay a lorra, lorra money for some proper ones the only change will be a more friendly, sycophantic media ... for a while. kent_white
They'll finish between 8th and 10th. Like every other season. THE most boring club in English football bar none.

gonzo
Wish him well. Loved him as a player, seems an intelligent fella he will be decent appointment imo. Best they can hope for is doing a west ham and tickling the top 6 mind. Need to stay up first.
tomski
Awful appointment but as discussed with our resident Toffee on Thursday, I think whoever takes the job at Everton will be a car crash as so much is wrong behind the scenes. He won’t last 2 seasons.
radcliffe white
Massive job for him to take on considering how his last one ended can’t imagine a right lot of patience about the place hope it works as seems a nice fella and one of the premierships best ever

They will probably have that new ground bounce as well. Fair comments. Thing is 97% of managers are considered shite now anyway. It seems to do little to tarnish reputations getting sacked nowadays and improves the bank balance. It will be interesting as managers normally work up to the job they want but he’s had his now. I think Everton is a tough job to turn around.

Fan base are tricky one. 80’s were a long time ago. Not sure where Everton belong now. Not a dig at the fans for wanting more but top 8 challenging would be a good season for them I suspect. Moderators Zico Posted January 29, 2022 Moderators Share Posted January 29, 2022 For the money they spend everton should be trying to get in the top 6 if not
deane koontz
He'll get more time than most. How they've assembled such a shite squad with all the money they've spent is an achievement in itself. The club has as much coherent thought as a donk improvisation band

Well, the loud & vociferous ones who took to the streets to demand Perreira wasn't chosen & wrote graffiti around Goodison (who'd notice ?) to that affect. Y'know. The one's who'll demand he's sacked in 12m time. Another big pay-off they may as well start budgetting for now.
Members Rudy
They’ve appointed a manager two days before the transfer window closes, in a relegation dogfight and their next game is against fellow relegation battlers who are throwing around the reddies. Dr. Feelgood
Lampard will want money, lots of it. Unless they go into huge hock I understand the cupboard is bare. There's been a few injuries & the dress-wearing striker's bern a big miss but otherwise they're not in good shape. As Rudy points out he's arrived with 2 days of a window left and a cheque book full of stubs but no cheques left. He clearly isn't their first choice. They have a few points advantage & SHOULD survive but ...
