No chance of Evatt leaving, certainly not for Blackpool or Blackburn. I take the point about money talking but Evatt’s mantra with players since he’s been here has been that other things are more important. If he turned now and walked how could he ever be credible again? He’s happy here and can achieve all he wants at this club. We’re by far the biggest club in Lancashire with great owners, wonderful stadium and facilities and a big and increasing, loyal fan base. Surely he’d be absolutely crazy to throw all that away with the risks involved. They may have loved him as a player at Blackpool but he’s a manager now and that’s completely different. He’ll stay here I’m sure.

But Blackpool are in his heart whereas Bolton is just a job

A reply to a supposed Bolton fan on their forum

He left on pretty sour terms iirc. Fell out with Holloway and the Ex owners.

Sold his gaff in Lytham a couple of years back. Weirdly I ended up with his petrol lawnmower as my mate fitted the fake grass for the new tennants and the mower had been left behind.

For more interesting celebrity appliance stories, tune in tomorrow.

Didn’t know about all this, but I’m guessing he outlived Holloway as he left when Paul Ince was in charge didn’t he?

Surprised that Blackpool have dosh as well. The advantages of supporting a massive club that has fans everywhere 😎

Yeah he outlived him, he left in the middle of all the oyston debacle. As a fan favourite not afraid to speak his mind he ended up getting released. He was, shall we say, a man about town at the time :)

As for their dosh, they seem to be spending fortunes on the new training ground and complex round the stadium. Not sure how much the owner is bankrolling himself. They were certainly on a budget last season.

Owner from what I can gather is a local lad who made a fortune in Hong Kong?

Championship needs millions spending to win promotion.

I hope Evatt has us primed for 2 promotions in 2 seasons because the championship is fuckin expensive

The standard and facilities at the training ground when under the Oystons stewardship was often discussed.

The absolute pits :D

However theyve plucked £20m+ out of somewhere to develop it all. Apparently its a loan from the owner.

If he’s got billions why not just gift it. With FFP it’s surely only going to reduce income for wages or transfers especially with the lack of a decent fan base.

He doesn't have billions. Looks after hedge funds worth billions. He's a peasant, only multi millionaire
