Are they coppers or stewards in the “crazy corner” either way it’s a bit of over kill

You can steal a car, you can burgle someone,  but you can't say a bad word at football..

Will have cost the club a load for all the bobbies on tonight

Hardly any coppers at the boxing on Saturday where you had thousands of coked up Sted heads. Bolton V Lincoln on a Tuesday evening and half of GMP are there. Go figure

And none of them there when there were 50 Lincoln yoof ballooning around the wrong side of the ground and picking off random folk in full view. I’d just gone through NSL turnstiles and could hear them coming round the north east corner so they must have turned back round towards the club shop shortly afterwards. Don’t know how the fuck the control room have failed to pick up such a sizeable and noisy group walking all the way round from either the away car park or, at best, the Beehive. Very fucking simple really to literally head them off at the pass and escort them in to the away end without coming within 50m of anyone. You can sure as fuck guarantee that would have happened literally anywhere else.

Massive overkill and no doubt contributed to the lack of atmosphere for much of the first half.

We've done it death already about what is and isn't acceptable behaviour from fans, so let's not go there, but the number if hi-vis in the area is offputting.

Should get every fan in that corner wearing one and confuse the fuck out of them

There was two lines of OB in crazy corner and a line of OB or robostewards in the away end.

Probably policed right due to the Lincoln gimps.

Yep. Maybe, y'know just possibly, they had info that the (g)Imps were coming with a purpose ?

The Lincoln yoof were drinking in the Griffin before the game.   4 of em left with a bag of steaks and at least 7 had a big jar of nescafe stuffed in their s.i jacket when they were leaving.

Quick comment on the police/stewards it is a long time since I can remember so many of them at a Lincoln away match in the North West a steward told me they had received information that the Lincoln crew were coming down seeking revenge for the trouble outside Sincil Bank earlier in the season, a gang of lads did arrive but it hardly warranted the numbers involved including riot police and officers on horseback.

Most of the season I've had a pint sized steward standing beside me at the NSL/WSL corner. He's been no trouble, but on Saturday he says 'I think she (his colleague, not boss) wants me to tell you to sit down.' I told him all friendly like, to get her to ask me herself.

Last night no sign of him. I had to patrol that corner myself. Hope he's alright.

Didn’t an older BWFC fan get attacked out of nowhere IIRC? It certainly wasn’t trouble from our fans when they were trying to pick folk off down the dark back streets

Aye and kicked him on the floor.

Like has been said they weren't to keen when 40 of us were bowling about in torrential rain :D
