Had priced up flights to Madrid the morning of the draw from Manchester and they went from about 75 quid to about 350 within minutes of the draw. Twats Got charged by the police horse into the turnstile, no ticket shown just get in. Lost my mates and spent all match on my own front to the right. Saw all the police twattings. Was that pissed at half time whistle I celebrated thinking it was over and we were through. Couldn't tell you a single thing about the match. Turned out to be Madrid's gay district. The afternoon of the match when Bolton took over the main square was one of the best days of my life. Police were a bunch of animals. During the day of the match we’d had a good drink in and around Mayor Sq like a lot of Wanderers fans, but as the match drew closer we decided to have an hour or 2 closer to the ground, we had a good Craic but we could feel the atmosphere turning moody, we just knew there was going to be some lumber - little did we know that most of it would be caused by the bastard Madrid police - what utter cunts they were, the locals weren’t the friendliest either. We’d had a jar or 2 with some Aberdeen lads on the way out at Heathrow Airport and they’d warned us what to expect from the Madrid police, fuckin’ hell they weren’t wrong!
