I don’t see him being good enough yet to be able playing in a champions league side. If he goes to Anderlect I don’t see him starting and he’s said it himself he wants to be playing.

Hes out of contract in summer so it’ll be him saying where he goes unless he signs a deal with City.

City will do whatever they want with him, surely? He's not going to turn down a new contract there if they offer him one. If the options are "You can sign for Manchester City and go out on loan to bench-warm for a Champions League side, or you can sign for Bolton and be first choice in League 1" he's not coming back here.

But from City's point of view, they're going to gain a lot more from loaning him to us to play every week than sending him to sit on the bench eating chips and mayo?

You can bench warm for a team that's in the Champions League qualifiers for a month,  in a weak league, miles from home where you (likely) don't speak the language, or you can play every week in a team where you are already liked by the manager, players and supporters, having already expressed a desire to play games.

Playing time, certainly. But that might not be what they're after.

Suppose it depends how highly regarded he is at Manchester City. Either way, they're in the driving seat. £££

They are but being in the final year of his contact does give him some leverage if he is dead set against going abroad.

If he’s going abroad he may as well go for sun, sea and sangria. Belgium is arguably no better, climate wise, than Kent.

Kompany being linked with Burnley IF they stay up

which in turn may impact Anderlecht's apparent interest in Trafford, if it's actually a thing

which wouldn't be a bad thing

Think Trafford needs another go at this level yes looks comfortable but also made a few errors, but certainly has a good future

This

Hes 8 years and 250 games from his prime. No need to rush things.

Kompany would be a loon to take that gig at the moment.

Tarkowski, Mee out of contract, Pope outgoing, financial meltdown possible.

He’s not done a great job at Anderlecht either.

Burnley are only going one way.
