Underpants
I'm watching Everton getting tonked at Spurs. With 30mins to go plenty of toffees have already gone for the exit. What matches have you said bollox to and left early? Stoke in the Wembley semi was the earliest I have ever left a game. Left just after half time. At Notts Forest, when Collymore played, was another I left early. We were 2, possibly 3 🤔, down. But that was more to do with my chauffeur throwing his toys out of the pram and marching out. Puff! Accrington a couple of season ago. Ordered a Uber at half time. Was in a pub in Accy 10mins later. We were not the first Wanderers fans in that pub. I did stay to the end at Sheff Wed when we were 5 down at halftime. Can't say I've ever left a home game early. Anyone owning up to leaving early on Wilbraham Sunday? Leyther_Matt
Left the Wimbledon game early the other week as has had a train to catch. Whistle went before we’d even got back to the car but ended up being off the car park half an hour earlier than usual so I can kind of see why people do it now. Been a few away games where I’ve got an extra couple of pints at half time rather than go back upstairs but genuinely can’t think of any I’ve actually left the ground early. Left the Watford play off final when they scored their second goal but I was a 12 year old passenger with my mate’s family so didn’t really have a say in the matter.
Jol_BWFC
Off the top of my head, the ones that stand out are the Stoke Semi Final, the Bristol 6-0 defeat, when we lost to Fulham 4-0 about 7 or 8 years ago and losing to Derby 4-1 similar season. The latter 3 we went down for beers at half time and never bothered going back up.
Site Supporter RONNIE PHILLIPS Posted March 7, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted March 7, 2022 Sheff Wed 5-0, Man U when we were 3 down after about 20 minutes, Notts County New Years Eve to get out on the lash.

But not many others. stoke at Wembley. fleetwood away this season when they scored the third. once left old Trafford at half time.  Think speed got a last minute consolation. spurs away midweek when we lost 6-0 in the league cup. derby away when we were 4 down early doors. I still maintain we only lost 3-1 to Reading because they were the only goals I saw. And even Reading’s third was their seventh, I just missed the ones in between.
bolton va va
Left Stockport after their 5th goal just before the end but that was more to try & catch the earlier train than a tantrum. Even when it's grim, i've got an odd interest in seeing which players keep going & which ones hide or feign injury.....fwiw Kevin Nolan was the best for keeping going when all was lost. Dr. Feelgood
If Branaghan hadn't saved that penalty against Reading I'm not sure I'd have hung about. Otherwise never actually dipped out of a match.
dusan nikolic
The 4-0 at Mansfield in 91 and 1 of the Forest tonkings in 2015 or 16 . Other than that I've pretty much always stayed to the bitter end .

Mounts Kipper
Very rarely leave early but left 10 minutes into second half a few years back at derby. We were abysmal. Just checked and it was 2019 and a Mason Mount Hatrick, didn’t know that. Edited March 7, 2022 by Mounts Kipper
Site Supporter FrancisFogarty Posted March 7, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted March 7, 2022 Millwall once and Luton are the only two that spring to mind, because the bloke driving the car insisted.

No, but the week before at Burton I was gone after about 70 minutes convinced we were down. That and the battering at Wigan are the recent ones that stick out. Was halfway back towards town soaking wet when Remi Matthews rolled the ball out to their striker.

You were gone well before 70 minutes 😂 I spent the whole journey home telling you we’d stay up too. 19 minutes ago, Casino said: Fuck me, theres another one Upside was i got in a bar Likewise. Few of us ended up propping the bar up (Dog & Partridge is it?). All kicked off after the game and they locked it; somehow they let a few of us stay in. I left after that Matthews goal. Very rarely leave early but I couldn’t take anymore after that. Got absolutely pissed on all the way back into the centre. A thoroughly depressing afternoon. Left at 5-1 away at Accy too. Did however stay for Stoke (5-0), Bristol City (6-0) and Rotherham (6-1) in recent times. We haven’t half had some twattings in the last decade. Deserve to enjoy the football we’ve had under Evatt and co. Edited March 7, 2022 by BWFC_LOVE
MancWanderer
Have very rarely left before the end Only one I can think of that I missed summat was this one Drove all the way. Parked at their park and ride. New stadium and was chaos. We were shite and were never gonna score so jumped on an early bus back to the car to get away. David fucking N’Gog. And I missed one of his goals

Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted March 8, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted March 8, 2022 I rarely used to leave early until the dark days towards the end of the ED era and all of scumbags era. I fell out of love with football and much to do with the club too. I didn’t like owners, many of the players and shite we were getting served up. Some I left early:- Bristol City (6-0), Reading (7-1) before half time, Tranmere 5-0 but that was more to stop me whacking a Tranmere fan outside, Ipswich home 5-1 I think, Chelsea Sunday battering at home, Accrington 7-1, Rotherham 4-2 midweek. Stayed until the end for much of the rest unless I’ve had a reason to dash off quickly
gonzo
Presume we aren't counting leaving on 89 to beat the busses, or Id have to say every week Noticeable proper early ones are Obviously Stoke, was back at The Man in the Moon in Stanmore by 60 mins. Absolutely horrendous. Remember going 3-0 down v Liverpool at home. I fucked off in a hissy fit to the pub and encountered a mob of scousers all in black. One of em body checked me and asked if I was Bolton. I said I just want a pint mate 🤣 Theres probably a few more under freedman and the darker days that followed but they've all been blanked out like some catastrophic PTSD inducing event.
