Obviously don't want to be too critical of FV after all they have done for us.

Just would have thought that something which should be in every true Bolton fans DNA like the Burnden Tragedy would be given due recognition and respect in a poignant way year in, year out.

No doubt we will meet every (currently socially fashionable) virtue signalling requirement for diversity and inclusivity and other such guff. Disappointing that we would overlook this.

Thing is, it was never mentioned much throughout the 70s and 80s either unless we just happened to have a game on the 9th March.

This, apart from the appointment of that prick from Burnley and their tolerance of the Supporters Trust, of course (happy, Mounts? 😉 )

It was in my house mate. My grandmother used to tear up recounting the story. I do agree though that it wasn't always recorded the way it should have been in those years.

I'm sure individually many families respected the anniversary of the event but in Bolton (and Glasgow) it wasn't fashionable to have mass outpourings of grief like we have now with social media and Liverpool.

Agreed. Wasn't a mass outpouring of grief at our place. Just emotional, private recollections.
