Dempsey stays fit he’ll be a big player for us next year

It’s not a foregone conclusion. There’s a lot of work to do . We can’t just turn up next year and have it handed to us. There’s been a lot of games this year where we haven’t taken chances, give away silly sloppy goals. Injuries to key players can and probably will happen.
Still a big task next season.

God yeah, trust the process and all that.

FV are ace, the manager even better and we've a decent set of players. Few additions and we will be on for a decent season imo

Yeah think so. Be a god send to have a fully fit squad. Sheehan back will be decent as well.

Never seen an advert for a game between 2 mid table sides with nothing to play for and cancelling each other out more.

we were poor overall they were tidy.

that 2nd half showed how important it will be to tie Santos down. We won’t get many better leading centre halves with the money we’d be looking to spend. The defence for Johnstone and Aimson gets weaker by the game.

play anywhere near that and Sat and it will be a long afternoon

As much as it was an exciting line up you could see how unbalanced we were especially with how easy it was for them on every transition they were always 3on3 & 2on2 with with every single turn over in behind us every single time within two passes. First half was supremely sloppy apart from Santos & Dempsey who were the two effectively switching play, second half when Aimson came on we were an absolute chaotic mess at the back until MJ came on to sure things up. Three at the back changed our season making us one of the most in form teams in the country but with the injuries to Fossey/Lee we're utilizing Sadlier & Dapo out of position for the sake of it obviously they're very attack minded players which means bypassing them is far too easy giving the others a lot of work to make up for. If we play the same way vs Wednesday we'll probably get dicked & exposed especially if Santos is out.  We have the makings of an exciting good vibrant team but are definitely missing the right sort of experienced been there done it model pro's to help guide this group for a proper push next season

I thought we were ok today without being brilliant.

Those who shone only did for short spells, either due to injury (Santos) /fatigue (Dempsey)/ or coming on as sub (Williams/Kachunga). So no stand out MOTM

Sadlier not a wing back. Massively miss Fossey.

However, I went down to Pompey, we were so much better than when we went down there. To be able to lose our best 2 players of the season (Santos and Dapo - who both did well today) and finish the game strongly says a lot about how we’ve progressed.

If circumstances had been different and we’d have had this squad all season and that point would have helped establish a play-off place or top 2 spot under difficult circumstances losing 2 good players, it would have been considered a good point.

But it leaves us naturally feeling a bit underwhelmed at the end of the season.

But lots to look forward to next season

We were ok today, but we're slow starters. If that one from Dapo had gone in we'd have pissed it.

MJ made a difference when he came on, and after we scored I fancied us to win.

Injuries will leg us up (literally) for Sat'day.

If we can get a point or three against Wednesday, then give Donny the stuffing they so richly deserve I'llbe happy.

EK looked like a handful when he came on, certainly making his mark.

They had big players on that cancelled out our attacks, and nobody man marking No17 on the wing who kept running straight through.

That said Declan John, put in some miles tonight, looked goosed!

They were decent . Our lack of balance tonight was obvious .We seem to have a few that can play in the no.10 role but only MJ is a defensive mid.We improved greatly when he came on in contrast to Saturday when Dempsey replaced him .

Competition in the defensive mid area will be needed but wouldn’t write off MJ just yet. Bodvarson our best player tonight overall.

Two new CB’s needed as well.

Fair result despite the offside goal.

ps. How good was their goalkeepers distribution! as someone stated they targeted our left side but it was mainly through the accuracy of the goalies kicking. On one occasion in the second half they were in our box after just three  passes the first being the goalies kick.
