If making things up make you feel better then go for it....apparently bunch of Bolton chased down the canal and over the bridge by some Wigan youngsters. But let's go with your fairy tale eh ?

Making things up?

Its been a common Wigan trait for decades. Leaving lads that can fight back well alone and opting to instead bully normal fans around the station and later on. That's not made up thats 100% full proof 20+ years of experience of playing Wigan. Ive seen it first hand, dads with lads getting attacked when theres a full blown set of lads round the corner.

Its the way you lot roll.

I can vouch for that. A low-down mixture of cowardice and opportunists. Wannabe hooligans among supporters of a wannabe football club who deep down in their dusty souls wannabe Bolton Wanderers. Tinpot by every single measure and showing no sign of maturing in to anything that warrants greater respect.

I’d bet it’s the same little mob who slashed the lads all those years ago at Springfield park, they’ve been at it years the police must know them but nowt ever seems to get done, think GMP just like the overtime at the Wigan BWFC games.

Anyway leaving the old green street wannabees where they belong back to the match. One thing that I did notice 2nd half was how much you fanny about with the ball in areas that isn't going to harm the opposition.  By this time nerves had got the better of us and with a bit more application you could have won....but you mostly seemed happy with a point which I suppose is a compliment. I was surprised McClean wasn't sent off and the excuse thar he was getting racist abuse doesn't cut it with me because as a pro he should rise above this kind of stuff however unpleasant.

  • Little wigin had only one shot on target despite being at home, 2nd in the division & having all that so-called dominance - against a team missing both of their wingbacks!
  • Everyone, apart from their prick of a manager, knows they should have been down to 10 men before half-time
  • They clearly have very little style and zero class, relying totally on running their bollocks off, running into opposition players and generally being dirty tossers - typified by their IRA loving jimmy mc Dickhead
  • They don't, and never will, understand our STYLE of play and are too thick to realise why they were totally spent for the last 30 min's and hanging on for dear life - I bet the Championship teams are dreading their arrival 😆 (which is far from guaranteed)
  • They also know it's only a matter of (not very much) time before our paths cross again with us continuing our upward trajectory as they plummet back to their historic level - complete with their miniscule fan base

Agreed, good summing up of their style of play. They have got away with it this season down to weak referees.

Hmmm, I'm not convinced.

I think sometimes we need to put a rivalry to one side and see the league how it is. You've not got the best points per game record in the league purely due to weak refereeing or by having little style or class.

After everyone has pretty much played 85% or more of the season, the league table rarely lies and they're probably the best team in the league.

Video doing the rounds of their 'lads' having a go at 1 lad and his mrs walking through Wigan centre by the looks of it

The old drink-addled victim had been having a go at the slapper in grey and her partner. Looked like the partner had told him to piss off elsewhere and then ran down to take matters into his own hands and lamped the bloke who then stumbled and got stuck between seats. About two or three Wigan stewards were in the vicinity but didn’t do anything; either to help the bloke stuck in the seats or to deal with the aggressor.

Did not see that, but its very possible that after Bolton scored he jumped up got a load of abuse of the fellas missus and reacted verbally and was then assaulted, I have to ask why the assaulter wasn't arrested or detained by the stewards while the police dealt with the matter, if it was me I would be asking for video evidence with a view to prosecuting the perpetrator.

I wonder if Wigan players are treated differently by referees. McClean should undoubtedly have been sent off but wasn’t; whereas at  Morecambe, Ricardo was sent off when he shouldn’t have been.
Do IE’s honest assessments of referees actually go against us on the pitch?
