Smiley Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Just hope he can teach our batters to bat. Interesting that they’ve not gone back to the gung-ho approach of Buttler for the red ball game. Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted June 2, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 2, 2022 Well, it's all gone to rat shit somewhat. Quote
BobyBrno Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Parky arriving at Lord’s. ‘Welcome to the team, sorry it’s all a bit short notice’. Get your pads on! 😊 Quote
Site Supporter desperado Posted June 2, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 2, 2022 Ridiculous days test cricket. About sums up where England are at the moment. Very much in transition under new management and captaincy. Bringing back Broad and Anderson. Still to bed in some youngsters. Will always take wickets but batting biggest issue. And the crazy appearance of Parkinson still to come. Should be worth tuning in tomorrow. Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted June 4, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 4, 2022 KP is OK when doing the odd piece about himself, batting etc. Beyond that, wouldn't have him near the commentary box. TMS is a lesson to everyone. Quote

Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted June 5, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 5, 2022 Incredible coincidence: both Root and Cook reaches 10,000 test match runs at the same age to the day exactly. Quote
Site Supporter desperado Posted June 5, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 5, 2022 Excellent from Root today, he really is a treasure in an era where batting is over shadowed by the brilliance of bowlers on show and bowling friendly conditions. And well backed up by Foakes. Great start and great test match to hopefully kick off a new exciting era. Quote
Members Lt. Aldo Raine Posted June 5, 2022 Members Posted June 5, 2022 I found out today that Ben Foakes' dad refereed the play-off final between us and Reading. Quote
maaarsh Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 I see Parky has been immediately fucked off again in favour of tried and tested mediocrity Quote

Now, that maybe true for the very top level, but we'll not know for sure until he's given a run, and an opportunity on wearing pitches. Quote

Now, that maybe true for the very top level, but we'll not know for sure until he's given a run, and an opportunity on wearing pitches. Same claim was made before he was the best spinner in county cricket for 3 years running, and before he played 8 short format games for England with success. Now he's got Monty numb nuts Panedar writing articles about him failing after he bowled 14 overs and got the only wicket by a spinner on a green top. Unfortunately England squad seems to be very cliquey and his face doesn't fit, whilst confident but limited players like Bess get decent runs in the team. For a new era there are remarkably few changes to a playing squad which was badly found out last winter. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted June 9, 2022 Site Supporter Posted June 9, 2022 I agree, without giving him a proper chance, no one knows for sure. Monty Pissonplod should keep quiet. Quote
maaarsh Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 New regime looking pretty toothless today, even with the best player opposite missing. Hopefully they actually make the reset they pretended to make at some point. Quote
