a statue of Colin Bell, Buzzer Summerbee, Alan Ball etc, but some ten minute Argie ffs

Is it because he's Argentinian?

184 goals in 275 games and 5 league titles

Did slightly more for city than Alan Ball

It's a statue ... if a footballer ... not Aguero mind, but it is a statue.

Still ... better than Ronaldo's in Madeira.

Statue makers for footbalkers should go the Preston, look at the Tom Finney one .... and walk away, declining the option. It simply cannot be bettered.

It is fucking ace

I like City.

Well I do compared to 99% of teams in this region anyway.

Maine Road was a proper ground & even when they were shit they had a strong core support.

I’m glad they’ve done well & hope they win the treble.

Their home support has gone shite. I'm not comparing Maine Rd to the Etihad. I'm comparing the fanbase. It's been totally diluted by day trippers and overseas glory hunters.

Undies is a closet blue because he delivered some parcels there.

I’m not interested in what you’re comparing.

I made no reference to their support now.

Once again Bolton fans bitter & resentful of a local successful team & try desperately hard to find any weakness.

I was on the train coming back from Manchester when they hammered RM in the CL semi a couple of weeks back. I sat with 2 Koreans, with flags a 50/50 scarves, and a woman who was a Bolton fan (because of her dad) but is now a city fan. City's support has been diluted, and there is no surprise in that given their dominance. I'm glad you're happy for City, that woman and those Koreans. I'm not. I don't think I've been bitter or resentful in my life. But you can pin that lable on me if you wish. But I can find reasons to be "bitter & resentful" to every single club in the country.

I had Radio Manchester on yesterday on the way to work. Interviewing a City fan from Bolton with the fakest Manc accent in the world. Fair play to Phil Trowe who actually asked him why he wasn’t a Bolton fan instead and was met with stuttering jibberish about enjoying how Pep plays so not exactly a ringing endorsement of having been there for years.

Same with any big club. Their away support is and always has been superb.

I agree. That's why I only mentioned home.

Imagine if we became the richest club in the world and all of a sudden NBA superstars and nomark Hollywood & Bollywood actors jumped on the BWFC bandwagon. A lifetime on board the rollercoaster that is Bolton Wanderers is far more enjoyable. Try explaining that to LeBron James or them 2 Koreans I met on the train coming home from Manchester.

Not just the big clubs is it. Do you think Wanderers is better atmosphere with the 13k regulars or when it’s full with family day trippers?

Its horrendous on family fun days :D

We had nightmare this year as club extended family zone into block 8 (opposite corner to aways) so ended up with lots of kids in vicinity. They’ve been moved to the cheap seats next season to left of away end.
