Will Brownie be doing the agony aunt column again?

Let's hope so.... not just yet! Lots and lots more still to get added on... to coin the phrase from the 'Bok.... this is only the beginning.

Well that was a lovely trip down memory lane! I'd forgotten how well it was written tbh.  Some of the descriptions took me right back there.  Book ordered and back issues enquired about!

Are you going to be outside the reebok every other Saturday interviewing the fans?

No, but he said I can hold onto his case full of £50s. Nearly one million subscribers!

For those who ordered online, the book is on its way to you. Collections available at X-Records and Ruby Rose. AND YOU CAN NOW BUY IN STORE at both X-Records and Ruby Rose (cash only here).

Anyone wanting to contribute for the next batch of fresh online content - send me a DM, find Dick Smiley on Facebook or email smiley@whitelovefanzine.co.uk

Still chasing up old photos from the 70s/80s/early 90s…. At a push decent 00s. EXCLUDING EUROPE. That’s a whole bigger fish to negotiate for another day.

Lastly, don’t forget to check out the new and archive content on www.White love.co.uk - a few old & new Goods, Bads, Uglies - a short tale about the Andersons, a decent story about Ukrainian footie (mainly about Kiev’s unrivalled manager), Warner Kerr is back, whilst Loyal White is now residing in a care home… but still has that deep-rooted hatred of all things MU!!

Cheers.

Dug out this classic for the archives. Appeared in the last ever White Love and was written by a well-known ex-poster from here. A few names changed.

Read about how a typical Saturday morning tranny van trip to an away game descended into total drunken chaos with a wheel brace wielding Wanderer on the rampage!

Been enjoying trawling through everything on the site so far, I never had chance to read any of them at the time so it's all news to me!

I liked this from @gonzo in the new articles bit too, quality.

"Big horrible away followings full of every notright the town has to offer. Morecambe was our Hull, Crewe was our Mansfield. Nothing captures the buzz for an 11-year-old boy like those kind of days. My lad bowling in to school on Monday morning speaking of pitch invasions, police escorts and last minute winners."

Happened once with us for a night match down at Reading. Saw a lad on crutches hobbling down the road in Darcy Lever. Said he was going to the offy. Told him to jump in. First person I’ve ever seen waving crutches out of the sunroof going down the motorway…. And he was the first person I’ve ever seen at a motorway services winning the cuddly toy machine… with the clamping claw. Always thought they were 100% greased and fixed.

Cheers pal. Will message you.

Apparently there was a Wanderer in the mid 80s used to take a camera to most games, got some great pics of all the pre- and post- match action…. Including a famous battle in the Market Tavern, Wigan where a certain “colourful” lad from Stoneclough got stabbed/slashed….. be really interested to track these photos down.

Pretty sure I bought every issue of every fanzine from Trotters Revival (in Balmoral late 80s), HWGA( Tony Coffey?), White Love and it’s other names and one by a lad from Farnworth (Chris Mcglinn?…decent footballer in his day)

Ex missus binned them all.

Gonna have to buy all the old copies…loved reading them.

Not related to Bolton fanzines but remember reading an issue of Red Issue where the author spoke about a Bolton V Stoke match he attended early 90s and said the violence was akin the the chaos he experienced at Old Trafford during the 70’s
