2 home games this week.  That adds 30 quid to the weekly bills.

I can see a family from a lower income area like JF struggling with that.

It costs more for the bus than it does for our season tickets

take your point, but you could just walk

Maybe the club are looking at the fact that not many people use the busses now - as evidenced by the reduction in bus numbers, and like you say cant afford the subsidies to Tyrers

Or maybe the club know they’ll get dog’s abuse for just removing the service but if they can show the buses aren’t even breaking even then they have an excuse to cancel the contract.

Given that TFGM are capping all adult single bus fares at £2 and under 16s at a quid from 4th September how the club/tyrers can justify 7 fucking quid is beyond me.

That must be massively subsidised though, just as the buses have been previously.

Get Tyrer’s on card only and they’ll soon see the costs disappear.

Think the point is being missed by some. £7   For a kid is outrageous

Id guess the only way its getting any cheaper is if the club (fans) subsidise it

Nobody has to use the service, especially when theres cheaper options

Just vote with your feet

To all the bus wankers - except those from Adlington & Beyond - From September 4th normal buses adult fares are £2 max single journey in GM or £5 for 1 day unlimited travel. Just take you a bit longer.   https://tfgm.com/get-on-board?utm_source=MPU&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=Bus+fares

You're quite right Tomski.  But if the kid in question has been coming for a couple of years by bus, they have been paying £5 anyway, so the extra burden on the parent is £2, not £7.

I'm not defending the decision, and for parents with more than one junior the increase could be the difference between all the wains coming, or one having to stay at home. Everyone's situation is different and I wouldn't want to be in that position. It's a bastard and no mistake.

I've noticed a reduction on the number of kids on the 5 from Farnworth.
