Wycombe (H)

- Dapo's ability to hold the ball up, carry it on his own to wait for support & get us up the pitch is massive for us.
- Good to see us deal with an aerial team's set pieces relatively easily, Trafford came & caught nearly every single one.
- Dempsey hopefully to kick on from that, what a performance by the lad. Them midfield runs from deep beyond our strikers were absolutely killing Wycombe. Looks like he can do a bit of everything for a midfielder.
- Bradley looks like a Rolls Royce, just a superb footballer. Still early but seems all Fossey has on him his raw pace.
- Strong debut from Iredale, deffo makes us a more physical & has a proper motor on him.
- Evatt does seem to be tweaking his style of play slightly for the benefit of us cutting out avoidable mistakes, we play from the back but not every single time for the sake of doing so. We'll play down the sides relatively direct or try hit in behind to vary our game to ask the opposition questions which we started to see in certain games last season which makes us less naïve.

Right attitude, high work rate, great chemistry & everybody looks to want to run through walls for each other. We've come a long way in a short amount of time since Evatt took over, on our day we are breath taking. Fingers crossed we can be consistent this season as we definitely seem to have everything in place.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Baka yet, his movement & dragging defenders with him was superb & made the space for the goal opportunities.

Thought he had a great game

Worked his ball’s of great team player, Also MJ has his detractors but first 2 games he’s been right up there as one of our most effective players.

Not surprised Lee benched, he might be sat down most of this season given the competition he faces.

Ricketts was the best striker in the country for a short spell. Absolute powerhouse that beasted the worlds best defenders after smashing the championship to pieces.

As much as I like Bakayoko, the two names should never been mentioned in the same sentence again.

I'm absolutely buzzing with yesterday. Sunshine, great atmosphere and a demolition job on last year's playoff finalists, bliss.

I just cannot believe we got Morley for a set of training cones. Was it £90k or something? We've absolutely bent Rochdale over there; he's just getting better and better. BTEC Pirlo?

Delighted, let's stomp Ratboy's lot on Tuesday and really get the season going infront of a noisy away end in Burslem.

Really, really good performance that. I think most teams in this league would struggle to live with us on that showing. The most encouraging thing was that I still think we had another couple of gears if we'd needed them. Clear been working on opening up teams through the middle - so it's nice to have that variety. Thought we became a little one dimensional last year.

Sheehan and Isgrove still to come back which will give us even more options.

Lot's of ups and downs to go yet but very encouraging signs.

Really impressed with Iredale - and hope it gives Jones a bit of a kick up the backside.

When Baka bullies a centre half at OT and pops in a winner we can talk .

You rate him higher than a player who was good enough to be called up by England?

Yeah, Baka will never get near the England squad.

I wondered which loon compared Bakayoko to Ricketts. Then I checked. Rolf.

Ps Bakayoko is shit in the air as well. Bod would be starting for me. He's the much much better bet to get 20 goals. Baka is best coming on for last 20 mins especially when we need a goal and defences getting stretched has a knack of being in right place. But to be honest not been that impressed with his all round ability compared to Bod.
