Yep, I think he’ll swap Iredale for John. 

Dapo has to play, he had a decent first half last week and can score out of nothing.

I’m probably alone in thinking Dapo’s looked off the boil since Feb/March.

Personally i reckon a spell on the bench wouldn’t do him any harm, then bring him on as opposition legs are tiring.

No, he hasn't been firing on all cylinders but I think that was when we bought new forwards & Evatt seemed unsure how to fit him in.

Against the types of Wycombe I really want to see Bod and Charles start. 

I think that's the winning combo.

Be interesting this squad rotation, it's clearly the intention, but go on a bad run and they'll be cries of "doesn't know his best side", "need a settled xi" etc 

Wonder if it'll go beyond personnel to formation as well

Why can’t we bring Bod in next to Dion and drop John to allow Dapo to move to the left wing again. That would keep Lee in the 10 role as for me he’s the best we’ve got there?

We can't play with wingers unless we change to a flat back four.

For me it's quite a simple change, Bod will come in to help the ball stick. Dapo will start in the 10 and Iredale for Johnstone who I thought was poor last week and has always been quite lightweight regardless.

Because dapo isn't a wing back 

If we drop john its for iredale and a back 4 

Then dapo can go wide 

If lee still plays we drop bradley or play him up top

If not bradley Can't see bod playing out wide so maybe sadlier comes in 

No idea 

I wouldn't even drop lee if i could help it 

Thinking about it some more I'd start the same team as last week and bring on bod, kachunga, baka and sadlier to have a good go at them for the last half hour if required 

Then let them all start v Salford

Whatever team we play we have to score first in this one otherwise we know how Wycombe will perform, slowing the game down, falling around all the time and looking to catch us on the break when we chase an equaliser. They’re good at it so credit to them for that but if we score first it changes their whole game plan.

It's the physical aspect for me. John would play in most games but not really against these cloggers.

I'm basing that on not really having seen Iredale either who might also be soft.

This.

 

Johnston was excellent last Saturday - not sure that the guy who said he was poor saw the game. I think he's definitely more physical than last season and he was consistent pre season.

Iredale is stronger than John physically. but probably not as much as an attacking threat.

its a nonsense if we play wing backs in the way we normally do

 

if evatt wants a more defensive player with more height, fair enough, but if its the normal set up, hes easily the best in that role and did fine last week

the late cross gets nodded in on another day, then he gets appreciated
