Bear in mind this is Andy Holt and he'll have a whinge about everything. So I would take any concerns he has to seriously.

Thinks it’s a bit naive to think like that as once this I follow blackout gets removed then I think it’s game over as the bigger clubs push to negotiate their own revenues.

What evidence is there that streaming games negatively affects attendences? That's the only reason for the blackout.

An archaic view really

prem clubs in particular would continue to sell out and actually thrive from additional streaming. Sky would be the ones losing out hence why they continue to chuck over the odds at them to keep it at bay

i would never ever choose to give up a ST and sit at home to watch instead. Doubt many if any others would. Miles dearer for a start before you even get in to the watching it live, with mates etc etc

Hasn’t been done yet so there can’t be any evidence. Only time black out was lifted was when no one went cos of covid

Didn't realise 40% of clubs don't sign up to iFollow and sort themselves out instead.

The charlton tv one is quiet good they have a ex sky sports presenter in the studio with Alan curbershley  after the game going through the match its a lot slicker than Ifollow . Sure we could do something Similar with the ground set up we have if we went down that route

Seems like he doesn’t like the responsibility and consequences of running a tiny club. Simple solution. Don’t fucking do it. There’s a hierarchy in every league and they’d be at the bottom of whichever one they’re in

if I’m paying to watch a match on iFollow it’s because I can’t make it / didn’t get a ticket but still want to support my club. Including financially. Not so some small time muppets can rub their hands with glee at the money they have made. As is generally the case in any sport the bigger draw takes away the biggest piece of the pie.

what’s his alternative? Accy TV? He’d then only moan at the start up and streaming costs of that!! The guy would argue in an empty room. Rebel without a clue.

he wouldn’t be asking for shared distribution if he ran a bigger club. First class dick head

I’m with Frank, Gonk and Barry on this - he has history for being a dick and he’s directly criticised us in the past during his rants. So he can fuck off.

At the moment this is good for Bolton Wanderers, so keep it as it is.

Its been a valuable income stream for us the last couple of years as it stands, so up until the point it becomes detrimental to us, I’m sorry but the likes of Andy Holt moaning about what’s right for his club, isn’t going to change my mind on us giving his club more money for our fans buying tickets to watch OUR club.

But don’t get me wrong my hypocrisy could be challenged if we’re in the prem being fucked over by the red filth - but we are a long way from that.

So until we are there, keep it as it is. It’s good for BWFC

They only have 4 "Cat A" games a season: Us, Sheff Wed, Derby and Fleetwood.  All other games are £20.

Still seems odd to have one price whether stood on an open terrace or sat under cover (as small as that is).

A bit of perspective, we were charging away fans £39 a full 20 years ago for Cat A games in top tier and I'm sure it was £30 for a championship game at Ewood 20 years ago when Souness was there.

Fleetwood? I know it’s fairly local but fucking hell.

He charged us £20 for our first visit. We played up, chucking bottles etc during the match. He charged us £25 for the next visit & is charging the same.

He should be collecting them & getting the deposits back.

Some people only ever see the negatives.
