The same issues where there last season too I’m not going to dig Kachunga out cos he’s no doubt trying his best. But there is no contribution to a game and you can’t carry players. Yes we have a decent number of forward players but who makes the difference? 1 or 2 of the 5 at best. We look blunt. Then that back 3 is always liable to offer up a goal. It’s not a crisis. Far from it but there’s fundamental issues that need to be addressed otherwise we’re going to see a season just like the last. I still don't think we are strong enough defensively - been saying that since May. What's more concerning is that we've played six games, failed to score in three of them and scored from open play in only two of them. Early days still. We need some activity on deadline day though. Can’t blame IE for that, he’s doing the best he can but he’s still shopping at the bargain shop. I think the chopping and changing is an indication of that, plenty quantity but little quality. Can’t see much happening before the end of the window so we just have to accept what we have I’m afraid unless the board find something down the back of the sofa??
