My 1st thought was Sheehan but then thought he's too old and has headless chicken tendencies, strangely my next thought was Collins, now of you think of the things that John Robertson had said peter Taylor said about him, then that sums up Aaron Collins.

Bingo, there's yer man.

Don’t agree on Sheehan but Collins definitely. Moot point with Evatt in charge though as we will continue putting square pegs in round holes.

Best I've seen in the flesh:  1. Beckham 2. Ginola 3. Leighton James (genuinely) 4. Morais 😀 (only half joking)

Leighton Baines? If so I'd agree, much as I don't like acknowledging any Everton players!

Towards the back end of Ashley Cole's England career I thought Baines might have been a better England option just to get that set piece threat back.

Peter Thompson for me, absolute wizard and if there was nobody in the middle waiting for the cross he’d go back and beat the defender again until there was. Sadly we don’t need to concern ourselves with good crossers as Evatt’s system doesn’t include high crosses and headed goals and with Dions effort on Saturday you can see why! 😁

Nicky Summerbee. Not even kidding.

Hit the pub early Matt. I can remember a peach of a cross at Selhurst for Ian Marshall but not a lot more on him. He was the fail of the short term loan in my opinion. Where Ritchie and Johnston were brill. I suppose the promotion v non promotion backs your story though.

I just remember a lazy bastard unless we wore the sky blue away kit😂

Was behind Nicky Hunt in Howfen Sainsburys the other day. Didn’t realise how bloody tall he was. Wikipedia says 6 foot 1 but he looked a lot taller to me. I’m only 5’8” btw. He was wearing a Wanderers hat, fair play.

Think he set up all three for Holdsworth’s hat trick against Scunthorpe in the cup but could be wrong

You’re spot on with Johnston and Ritchie btw

You are obviously a (relatively) young pup!

Leighton James was a sublime Welsh winger for Burnley (and others) in the 1970s.

Sadly, died a few months ago.

I didn’t know he’d died RS, that’s so sad. Good bloke and used to play golf regularly up at the muni at Towneley Park. Sad to hear that RIP Leighton.

John Robertson.

Peter Thompson

Those Two were absolute wizards

Can't argue with those 2, I did see both but only once or twice.  Seeing TV clips,  they looked class.

Howfen , home of the stars.  I was stood next to Hunt waiting for a table at China Room Westhoughton a few hours after the Stockport game, understandably he didn't have a BW hat on.  Kachunga frequented it when he was here.  I saw Aaron Collins in the same Sainsburys a month ago.

He could cross it equally well with left foot or right, very very few could do that although Robertson's a good shout too.  He was brilliant for Bury towards the end of his career, Martin Dobson took him there.

Place is littered with pinks. I don’t give it a second thought anymore. Just avoid.

 "Pinks"! I hope you aren't referring to me old bean.

we seen all these pretty tables last season, but we're still in league 1

No football club owner is going to sack a manager who’s second in the form charts within striking distance of the top 2 with 2/3rd of the season left.

This is a wind-up surely. But I'll bite...

Sunderland

'Form charts' aren't real

Effectively 8 points from second. 12 from top.

P7 W1 D1 L5 against teams currently in the top half. With a GD of -12.
