Shit that'll be worthless... Now... Thread! 🤣

I brought George a Marca newspaper from the day of the game (without rusty staples) from the Madrid away game.

Bought two beach balls from E in Guimaraes and can't shake the cunt off even now! 😘

worth many, many uncountable times more than their meagre weight in gold to me when it comes to Euros:

Tickets are where its at!

I've got all mine. And the scarves and other memorabilia etc.

They'll never be worth a wank financially but for me they are priceless.

Indeed, doubt I'll never see us in Europe again at my age so I'm so glad I did all the travels. If we do get back I'll be a trebly incontinent dribbling wreck. Come to think of it, that sums up a few of the ones we did, specially when I threw up in the taxi and thus missed my flight back from Istanbul 🤢

God, you've got me going on Euro memorabilia now.

Uninflated beach ball, Besiktas shirt and Traff's euro tshirt

That's not one of my t-shirts. Mine were far better!

I had all my pics and videos on a phone I dropped down a toilet mid flush. Gone forever.

Had all my ticket stubs stashed in my coat that got stolen from a carvery.

Only thing Ive got is my memory which is dissappearing by the minute.

Ha ha I'd totally forgotten about the Sam's army t-shirt

Definitely had one but no idea what happened to it

Oh, who did that one then??

Did you do a Euro one? Still got the Ding Dong Dave, but it's a bit threadbare now 😃.

No, I only did 10 German Bombers & the Nat Lofthouse one.

I still have a 10 German Bombers one, signed by all the squad and with a bit of make-up on from a Ryanair trolley dolly.

Did the bottom 3 and Guimaraes away. My lad still struggles to get his head round it, found my Bayern and Lisbon tickets sorting out the other day.

So glad I was able to experience those days.

What if a few years ago KA and the Govt. and everyone else who wanted us closed down had got their way.

Would stubs and programmes and beach balls and stuff, be even more valuable sentimentally ? I know there's no financial value. The value of them is that we were there and were part of it.

I could have finally cashed in on that jacket full of ticket stubs that I nicked years ago.

Not sure they would as they are priceless as it is. I mean at my age I'll either never see it happen again or be so old I'd not make any aways. Plus we did so well in them and the venues were so diverse. Apart from maybe Scandinavia (Tromso was the dream) we got all over the place. If we get back via some Cup miracle in the not too distant (league is out forever with the new money now, unless we get a Middle East takeover) we might only have one match anyhow, away in Belgium or summat, and that would be that. To get 9 over two seasons (never mind that the 2nd time we qualified with a negative goal difference for the season 😃 ) and in such places with such results...no reason to think the club will ever see that again. From just that perspective they might as well have shut us down.

That’s the sort of reply I was hoping for. The paper is worthless, the memories are the value.

Yeh, like Leicester winning the League. Never happen again, so what a time to be a Foxes fan. Mind you, me owd next door neighbour had been a ST holder there for decades and decades. Just that year they moved to a retirement place in Norfolk. So the one time they had unimaginable glory, he'll have hardly seen it, the unlucky sod! So I'm just grateful I was able to do them all, financially and time-wise (though got a bollocking at work for Plovdiv, and much piss taking when my mug appeared in close up on tv after Sporting scored - I'd said I was off at a conference 😃).
