Pretty sure Ive never seen us win there.

Can't even remember winning there at any point in history, even though we must have?

Twice in 13 attempts in the league, plus 1 win in league cup, 1 in Anglo-Italian.

It looks like 4 wins in 21 attempts. Not the best of hunting grounds.

The fact I can’t remember the 1990/2000 league wins, I’m presuming I wasn’t there.

I can remember the defeats and draws I’ve seen there! 😩

The 04 cup replay there is gone too. Totally gone.

The year whitlow scored was good

Was at that, on a bank holiday iirc

And 0-0 when Gudjohnsen missed a wide open sitter

And 1-1 in the cup when Nolan equalised

Think that's it for me

Me and a mate decided we were going to the cup game at tranmere OR away at Blackburn week later

Opted for Tranmere

Blackburn was the 4-3

Saw us win 3-1 there late 80’s probably, early January. Should have played them a few days earlier but it was postponed for a waterlogged pitch.

The music they played on the way out was ‘we’re on the road to nowhere’.

I was at the Whitlow game too.

No intention of going to this

They were 17/2 for the replay

I was counting my winnings when we equalised in injury time

Tranmere then won it, but only in extra time

So  we lost and i had no money

Same here

Karma that

Big Sam got them straight on the coach after in kits if I remember as Aldridge was being a funny cunt

He did, because the previous match the changing room was deliberately dirty, crowded with boxes and the showers were kept freezing cold.

So he said he wasn't going through that again and got the players straight on the bus & back to Bolton to clean up.

Aldridge was, & I assume still is, a complete wanker. (I just looked him up and, sadly, he is still alive).

Highlight of the 80s that was. For some reason they were Kick-Off darlings (Elton Tranmere etc) and we felt a bit of a grudge as tv time then was precious. Tranmere had also created a fortress out of Prenton Park. When that 3rd hit the net (Stuart Storer had never struck a better one) wonderful!

Just checked it was actually 6th Jan 1990 if we're being pedantic 🙂

What a great Christmas/New Year - Blackpool, Bury and Tranmere all put to the sword

I wouldn't go with a free ticket & a free taxi........as long as premier league clubs are involved in this competition, i'll have nothing to do with it.

Hopefully we won't be in it again, but the sooner we're out of it this season, the better for me.

Looked at the Dutch second division other day after noticing Jong Ajax on live score.

Jong means second team and that divison is laced with clubs like PSV and Ajax's second teams.

Fook that.

Same for me, it’s a shame because without prem reserve teams it was decent comp, utter madness including them.
