Site Supporter desperado Posted September 12, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2022 Far more outs than ins with this I’m presuming. But we are in. Never seen us win here, despite numerous visits. It’s about time. Wemberlee. Wemberlee

Can't even remember winning there at any point in history, even though we must have? Twice in 13 attempts in the league, plus 1 win in league cup, 1 in Anglo-Italian. It looks like 4 wins in 21 attempts. Not the best of hunting grounds. The fact I can’t remember the 1990/2000 league wins, I’m presuming I wasn’t there. I can remember the defeats and draws I’ve seen there! 😩 Edited September 12, 2022 by desperado

Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted September 12, 2022 Site Supporter Share Posted September 12, 2022 Saw us win 3-1 there late 80’s probably, early January. Should have played them a few days earlier but it was postponed for a waterlogged pitch. The music they played on the way out was ‘we’re on the road to nowhere’. I was at the Whitlow game too. No intention of going to this
Marc505
That 5-0 was one of the lowest of the low points. Minibus broke down outside away end after too.
bolton va va
I wouldn't go with a free ticket & a free taxi........as long as premier league clubs are involved in this competition, i'll have nothing to do with it. Hopefully we won't be in it again, but the sooner we're out of it this season, the better for me.
RoadRunnerFan
Saw us win there in League Cup, a rather rotund Michael Ricketts came on as a sub for them

So he said he wasn't going through that again and got the players straight on the bus & back to Bolton to clean up. Aldridge was, & I assume still is, a complete wanker. (I just looked him up and, sadly, he is still alive).

For some reason they were Kick-Off darlings (Elton Tranmere etc) and we felt a bit of a grudge as tv time then was precious. Tranmere had also created a fortress out of Prenton Park. When that 3rd hit the net (Stuart Storer had never struck a better one) wonderful! Just checked it was actually 6th Jan 1990 if we're being pedantic 🙂 https://bicky.co.uk/season.php?season=1989-1990 Edited September 13, 2022 by jayjayoghani

Jong means second team and that divison is laced with clubs like PSV and Ajax's second teams. Fook that.

Same for me, it’s a shame because without prem reserve teams it was decent comp, utter madness including them.
