  • Can not speak for @gonzo but coming back yesterday we ended up with one  of our seats double booked with a protester. We chatted most of the way back, I told him I  was not a supporter and he was fine

  • I just wish folk would stop producing bollocks information and spreading it. 3 kids have been murdered ffs and the first thing someone can think of is set up a fake twitter profile and post some

  • Anyone who thinks Starmer covered up for grooming gangs because he in some way thinks it’s ok, is off their fucking box. Hes a dull as shit, methodical legal cunt. Unfortunately, to get justice p

If you can't read your own number plate or don't have the faculties to check what you've written before submitting it, you probably shouldn't be operating heavy machinery in public on a daily basis.

There's not a chance anyone over 80 should be driving.

It's akin to letting a 14 year old drive.

My Dad's is a risk to the public.

Correct, you should automatically have your licence taken off you at 75 or 80 years old

My mum's 54 year old cousin was killed 10 years ago by an 81 year old who put her foot down to get a parking space that had just become available. She hit another car, then crushed my mum's cousin against a wall - then in a state of panic put her foot on the accelerator again thinking it was the brake (according to her defence). She didn't take her foot off the pedal until a bystander physically intervened.

Ive said it for years. Regular eye tests after you pass your test and when you get to 70 some kind of refresher every couple of years

The form I received today had lots of medical questions but it's all self-declarations with no professional inputs.

Defeats the object really, there should be a medical sign off, driving should be seen as a privelage not a right. I've currently suspended myself from driving until the eye surgeon gives me the nod owing to an inflamed retina. Tested myself today and I read a number plate at over 25 metres.

A check ride with an Approved Driving Instructor should be a requirement every couple of years especially as roads are busier and faster.

But its not

Doesn't need a prosecution.

Look at the circumstances ffs.

As I said, the DVLA has form.

Yet when you re-apply for a license, there are months of delays.

Another inadequate state body.

Last time I renewed my licence, I received it through the post 3 days later - and that was over a weekend. In my experience, the DVLA is shit hot these days, much like the Passport office. Everything is so easy and efficient. Probably why a non-story like the one you posted makes the news - because there's fuck all else to complain about really.

I jacked in driving nearly 2 years ago, don't miss it one bit

My old man's still driving at 88. He's a safe, competent driver, although he got his first speeding ticket last year, and he relies heavily on his car.  He's just had his licence renewed and I've no concerns.  Mates mum however, similar age, licence revoked, got cataracts and the family just found she's been nipping to the supermarket in her car when its raining! They've ended up having to disable the car to put a stop to it.

Your secret is safe with me, mate! 😁

Have to do 5 days training and a medical to renew my truck licence.

Should do the same for everyone driving. Make a fortune in hidden taxes and get some muppets off the road.

You may not be able to debate anymore, but you’ll always have grammar.
