Fucking brilliant people. Clean tidy, graft their balls off, houses kept immaculate. Kids all polite and well bought up. Loads left because they could earn more back home. The exchange rate mixed with rising bills here meant it wasn't worth living here. Left a massive void in the hotel sector here. Shame other demographics of people who come don't share their ways and ethics. Quote

Woman round the corner to me is married to an Albanian. He seems a decent fella. Quote

Said earlier on in the thread Poland seemed lovely in my flying visit, definitely somewhere I want to go back to. Loads of construction work going on and loads of new buildings popping up. Quote

Brilliant Polish engineer from Salford taught me much about the gear industry. Cheers again Roman. Those who found themselves in the UK during WW2 showed their true colours. Quote

There's lots still in the area near work. Loads came over in the early 2000s and took on warehouse jobs, packing etc that couldn't be filled by locals. Quite a few moved into empty council properties on rough estates, that couldn't be let (unthinkable now) and significantly improved the areas. The only potential downside for the Council is they then put in right to buy applications! Overwhelmingly though, their moving here was a big positive for the area. Quote
gonzo Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Proper people with proper values. Migration can be good you see. Leave the backward cunts with stone age values right where they are. Quote

Good riddance. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/cvgwgrld8v2oDr Couldn’t agree more with the met chiefs statement in this article. We’re in very dangerous territory if we’re putting coppers through hell for trying to keep themselves & the public safe. Though investigations will always be necessary. In hindsight you could ask why they didn’t go for the tyres, but I guess that doesn’t prevent him ramming his colleagues? Just seen in the news he was the fella who shot someone in the nightclub days earlier. Imagine being one of the protestors involved in campaigning for justice. Playing the race card here is only an insult to the historical cases where there was race at play. Quote

Think this is the first it has been reported that he was involved in the shooting? Being a criminal thug doesn’t give the police the right to shoot you unless they’re endangering their lives, or the publics. Which in this case he appeared to be doing. Justice served I think we can all agree? And clearly better supports for officers are needed during these processes. Quote

It's interesting that in the case the prosecution used an angle that the officer was "frustrated". This from one of the top lawyers around. Well, fuck me, maybe he was a bit frustrated- you know with a car pinged as being used in a shooting previously, being used as a bettering ram, endangering the officers. I reckon he and his colleagues were a lot more than frustrated at the time. Former officer hugely criticising the CPS for their handling of the case, saying they're becoming politicised. Effectively pandering to the same whims that led to grooming gangs doing so much damage. Quote

What really grinds my gears is when you get family members being interviewed flanked by 'black power' type 'activists' ('cunts' - wanting any kind of advantage they can get - would be a better word) in their shades and single black leather glove and, once the understandable family grief has been expressed, the 'cunts' are on the soap box spouting Black Lives Matter propaganda. Black lives clearly didn't matter much to Saba. With a firearm he tried to take more than one away. Quote
