I’ve no idea. Maybe you could tweet him and ask.

That's several times in the last couple of days your answer has been "I've no idea". Bit odd to keep commenting on things you admit you know nothing about. Have you thought of doing something more productive with your sad life?

If a bunch of republican lads were trying to get over to a monarchist demo to wind them up, then most would agree that it would make sense for a copper to try to prevent it.

The issue (for some) was that they felt the police were preventing anti-royalists from protesting and arresting the movement leader. Agree or disagree with their motives for that, they are two very different situations.

Most can see the common sense in this one and how much it has been blown out of proportion.

They aren't very different situations at all

The breach of the peace argument applies to both

Why would I know what some random stranger was planning on doing that day? Do you know what the was doing that day? Have you established who those protesters were yet or do you just randomly like taking screen shots of men.

Why, what did Gideon Falter want to do that day? Seems strange he brought a cameraman along with him if he was just out shopping.

😂

Funnily enough Gideon Falter is out week in week out with his camera.

These marches have been pretty low key recently. Not been in the news much, majority peaceful. Looks like Falter was getting desperate to be honest. He'll be delighted now like. Two coppers with their jobs on the line and London now officially declared a Muslim and Lefty only zone. Just the point he was tyring to make all these past weeks with his camera.

I'm pretty sure the football will bring about more arrests week in week out than these marches do. If we're going to stop the thundercunts marching then we best ban the football too.

Would a guy in a celtic shirt or dressed like a Catholic Priest be OK walking over to an Orange march?

He was clearly on a wind up and there to cause a reaction. Otherwise you'd just away.

The analogy doesn't work

People can be Jewish and against the actions of the Israeli military

There are Jewish people on the march

we can agree to disagree then - this isolated incident and the anti-monarchist stuff seem pretty different to me.

last I heard when a republican got at a royalist he called him a sheep.

But why would someone being openly Jewish be provocative at a pro-Palestinian March?

He may also have been going to protest against the Israeli regime committing genocide for all we know

And maybe that's why he wanted it to be filmed and someone brought a camera along

maybe he was there to protest against Israel too

cheese will be along shortly to ask you……

“If you don’t know why he was there then why are you commenting? Seems strange to comment on something you know nothing about”?

Why would he be harmed? Because he Jewish?

He might be. I think he's more likely to be harmed than anybody else walking down the road. Particularly if he's being antagonistic.

Just seems sensible for the copper to have a word. Maybe I'm missing something?

I'm reminded of the protestor arrested for interrupting a proclamation in 2022, to cries of fascism from many who are now silent

Here lies the problem. Many Jews have spoken out fearing for their safety due to these marches every weekend.

These people are meant to be marching for peace yet some folk fear for their safety when they’re near them .

I'd agree with you that his visible Jewishness might attract harm, which is an indictment on the marches themselves

What you're missing is that the police officer gave his open Jewishness as being a reason for preventing him crossing over rather than his apparent wish to be antagonsitic

Then don't go near them. Especially if you're doing it deliberately. Even more so if you're doing it deliberately to try and provoke a reaction.

And this is the point the Jewish community are making. It’s alright saying don’t go near them what happens if you live near them. What happens if you’ve made plans and there’s a march in that area?
Youre basically saying make no go zones. London 2024.

And therefore you think the police officer was being anti Semitic?

That's a bit of a stretch. I might tell someone who's Jewish to give one of the demonstrations a wide berth. Same way as I'd advise a woman in a Burkha to give an EDL march the swerve.

Imagine having to tell that lady in the burkas to take a wide berth every weekend, she’d be well pissed off wouldn’t she. Luckily for her the EDL don’t do marches every week if at all now.

The point is that neither should have to

We know why a women in a burkha might come to harm at an EDL rally

Why might a Jewish person come to harm at a pro-Palestinian rally solely for looking Jewish?

Because there's likely to be people in that crowd who have loved ones that have been killed in Gaza. And if they have got a screw loose then they might lose their rag and do something stupid.
