Leyther_Matt
Charlie getting crowned on the weekend of the last league game. Not a clue how they’re going to re-schedule it around the play offs but either way you’d expect Saturday to be ruled out at the very least

paulhanley
Evening kick offs? Or maybe all switched to the Sunday.
Johnnyrotten
All 3 EFL leagues are due to finish that weekend, I don't that's happened for a few years. And each division will have to kick off at the same time as the rest of that division, so the first weekend of May is unique compared to any other. Prem will have another week left so no such restrictions on KO times.

The listing for May 6th would have changed irrespective of Coronation. for maximum TV which with full round of Premier games will mean stupid times on Saturday and Sunday We're at Port Vale, so a decent allocation at least compared to 1100 at Brizzle will be in lottery for in the morning

Yes the schedule for 6th May would have changed, with at least one division's games moved to Sunday to maximise TV. Coronation probably means no EFL or Prem games at all on Sat lunch or 3pm, maybe 5pm KOs at best. But police will have something to say about that, more likely Sunday for most games? Leyther_Matt
Monday 8th May now a Bank Holiday for the Coronation so that might end up being the answer

Leyther_Matt
Glad I’d reserved a room already. Got Sat-Mon in Holiday Inn for £209.90 but same room is now £320 😳 Ever since the start of the season I’ve had this game down as having something riding on it…
Traf
Moving the last games of the season to a noon kick-off shows no consideration for fans at all and is purely for the benefit of TV.

Weird considering we’re the only league finishing that day and have Bank Holiday to nurse hangovers. Championship and League Two both finish on the Monday. Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted January 20, 2023 Site Supporter Share Posted January 20, 2023 Sort of looked at booking hotels for this but I’m only going to go if we need anything to either go up or get/stay in the play offs. If there’s nothing at stake or we are definitely in the play offs, I’m not bothering

I’ll go West Ham v Man Utd 2000 Saturday. what better way for the pearly kings and queens to round off day than seeing their beloved team play the Hornchurch boys
