Got an email back from the hotel

It contained one word 'cancelled'

That was it

No apology, though I didn't expect one, but thought I'd get something a bit more formal or professional

Am keeping hold of it in case Parking Eye still try it on as there doesn't seem to be any joined up thinking between the two

I would send that to Mr Hart and ask is this the level of service he expects his staff to deliver.

mate got a ticket today from the Oxford game for parking on Tesco

as he was 5 minutes over 3 hours

£70

which confirms, as far as I'm concerned, what I thought in that the reduced time limit for free parking on match days being 90 minutes is bollocks and that there's no need to pay those supposed parking attendants

this is also based on the fact in years of parkign in tesco I've only had one ticket, when I was parked there over 3 hours

Can't be arsed with any of that hassle. Just park on the official car park for £8 and suck it up.

there's no hassle though, it's free

unless you stay 3+ hours

then you get a fine

that's it

Well there is if you get a ticket for staying 5 minutes over, like your mate did. Can't be arsed with that bollocks. Rather pay the club 8 quid and leave when I want.

fair enough

I do in and out jobs myself arriving as close to KO as possible and always leave right after, so never need 3 hours

it does though seem to confirm that the signs saying it's 90 minutes on match days, and that you should pay the attendants to park, are bollocks though

Different for everyone innit. My lad likes watching the players warm up, so we usually arrive early. Then my daughter always wants to go mooching around Middlebrook rather than sitting in traffic after full time. Just can't be bothered with potential parking tickets and all that rigmarole.

If you're mooching round Migglebrook afterwards why not just park on there. Saves walking back to the car park afterwards and saves you £8.

Not if you get a fine. I can't stress enough how much I can't be arsed with the potential hassle. I really would rather just pay the 8 quid.

Just had a fine through for Tesco this morning from the Burton game.

Entered at 7.30, left at 10.08.

Anyone know if I’ve got a leg to stand on at all?

No

Interesting though

I was probably about the same, so should get one too

Think that only applies during the week because of rail users. On a weekend it’s virtually unlimited. Greggs, game, cinema, Nando’s, home. Sorted @Cheese

I'm not complaining about paying for matchday parking, or looking for an alternative at all. I'm perfectly happy with it. 8 quid for complete peace of mind is an absolute bargain in my book.

And queue to get off for nearly as long

Id rather walk 15 minutes and be straight off home

But prob depends where you live

We’re usually off by 5.20 and home for 5.40

Other week we were going to Crofters post match so went behind Asda rather than past stadium. Got there for 5.57 🙄
