Yes, we'll tell your folk who do the crew rota and didn't have anyone to drive the train I booked 

He told me my ticket would be valid for trains AFTER the cancelled one. 

Yes, well due to Northern Rails' incompetence or insufficient recruitment policy I'd rather get to my destination before the game rather than after. 

He now agrees with me

Bus 15 mins late. With a learner driver. Panic sets in. Eventually made it with time to spare. Casual jog to Piccadilly and in situ in seats on the train. Day recovered (so far). COYWM

This sound positive.. but 10-30 covers off! I’d be worried areas that covered by stands  and shaded from sun might be frozen solid.
