Its a nice thought to be dead flexible on the day but with stewarding and beer sales, its not going to be practical

Why cant they send out digital QR codes?

It makes absolute sense logically and is absolutely possible with the right effort and coordination. However, there is a little bit more to it and no club has been brave enough to try it yet apart from DMB’s who tried it for one friendly with Everton and promptly sacked it off as a bad job.

The Wycombe away when we didn't know if we had a team to support, did QR codes. Worked fine (other than me stood there scanning 30 odd lads through the turnstiles)

It's very easily done with a bit of effort

Don’t forget we had to buy directly through Wycombe - and later Tranmere - for that though so there wasn’t any sort of season ticket priority etc (albeit we literally didn’t have any season tickets at that point) so that would be carnage for 1,100 Fleetwood tickets

What sort of system do you need to introduce previous booking history?

heard yesterday that the club was looking to do this for fleetwood but currently it can’t be done?

Just a case of ticking a box on the system really. Shouldn’t even be an issue in backdating it given, in theory, every ticket is assigned to a person because of the membership scheme and/or selling out at one per season ticket.

Shame they didn’t carry it on when they brought in something similar for the Burton away game the week before the Wilbraham game.

Don't know how much it would skew things in the bigger picture, but I've used mate's membership numbers to get away tickets for non members

So the lucky donor of the membership number gets the credit for going to a game that they didn't go to

My thought, even for few seasons 2002-4 they managed it on previous games as priority

1100 tickets for Fleetwood?

Wonder what that equates to after the club have some for staff, the away season ticket holders have theirs and box holders have theirs?

I'd wager not many even make it to the online sale.

2-0 Fleetwood

yep, I'll agree with that, it's fastest finger first jobby for the few.  Anyhow, I won't have that problem, I'll be trying to get friendly with some bar staff somewhere in Adu Dhabi to put it on for me 😉

I suspect fleetwood may well get some new members signing up

looks like they’re ready for this, message up about away fans buying tickets with daily checks taking place

Royal Mail staff have called off their strikes until November 12th.

Presume that the ticket office will now be sending out match tickets?

Mentioned it before but bristol rovers end of season

Any proper clued up club would have a plan in place already

Not something they come up with a week before

It should take into account buying history

Even now, contrary to what Hart would tell us, theyve no idea who is going to away games

As anybody who gets online for the rocking horse shit games knows its all about getting the number of tickets asap and assigning to the easiest client refs in your network

Noticed bristol charged Plymouth £30 to sit in that shit stand behind goal

As I posted earlier, ever since that Burton away game (one day’s priority for 7+ away games IIRC), I’ve made sure to assign our tickets properly.

But that's how buying history works

You assign a person to a ticket when it's bought

The club can't do anything about folk assigning someone else to a ticket bought

Unless you want to go back to postal applications where you send vouchers and ticket office staff manually go through applications and update the system themselves

Fuck that

The issue is that it loves to time out

Ive about 20 client refs and have on occasion had to buy double figures

Its set at maximum of 10 so its just get em in the basket and get them assigned before the next batch

Asked the ticket office this morning, still collection only despite strike being called off. But others can go and collect on your behalf if they provide your details etc

Yeah they have all your history there but they mustn't be able to block a season ticket holder, who doesn't meet whatever purchase history criteria, buying a ticket it seems.

I know the ticket office will be busy on Saturday but collection from 5pm onwards that day, would've been much more convenient for most.

So once again Neil Hart is proving he's a cunt........

They're saying Fleetwood aren't doing duplicates for any lost tickets, so sticking with collection. Your point still stands though....

Going to be some pissed off folk tomorrow

I'm out for this.  4 kids and Chrismas around the corner.

With regards to reference numbers, its a load of bollocks.  I've loads in my network.  You can buy an adult ticket with a kids reference no bother at all.
