Whenever we go to these tight in your face matches, how come virtually everytime we play to their game instead of implementing our own style?

We just look so goddamn nervous and look so scared on the ball. What has happened to our pressing/possession style? Yes we still get possession but we seem to rush it every single transition.

Trafford plays it short to Johnston/Santos, couple of passes then a long diagonal switch that ends either out of play or our 5ft 9 attacker gets dominated by a 6ft 4 + defender - It happens every fucking time.

The defenders/midfielders need to be braver on the ball - Simple, they are not taking chances and making it very easy for our opponents. I have noticed countless number of times in a number of games, Johnston getting slightly pressured and puts it out for a throw in, when we KNOW that they always have a long throw specialist with a towel waiting.

Even Santos now, what happened to bringing the ball forward and creating overloads?

Then we have our strikers, who when they do get chances, are incredibly lacking in their finishing.

The more I write, the problems comes to mind, which is an awful sign because to me it shows that there is a LOT that isn't right with the time at the moment.

Yes we are still joint 6th, but we have been poor and poor for a while. We don't have a consistent team, where nobody knows who is going to be starting and Evatt seems to have lost it tactically.

For clarity however, I am still 100% behind Evatt but I am just observing where we are at currently.

Didn’t go today so can’t comment on the performance. Trying to be positive we’d probably have lost that match last season (we did)

Another similar challenge next week , I’m thinking small steps & another clean sheet next week will do me given five or six of our players are totally out of form at  the moment.

A playoff place can still be achieved but I think Evatt will have to trade in January in order to bring in a couple of more robust types that we lack , thinking CB &CF.

That's true.  But most fans thought we'd up a level from the first half of last season.   Dixon, Sarcevic, Isgrove, Doyle, Baptiste, Delfouneso started or came on as sub, none of which are L1 standard.  We now have L1 players in every position, but we're scoring less.  Surely another 0-0 next week isn't acceptable?  Not saying we should be winning 3-0 every week by any stretch but we won 6 out of our last 10 aways last season and now we're happy with 0-0 against poor teams, with virtually the same squad (not team, that's been changed).

Who's said they're happy?

Not happy at all , just realistic in the midst of our autumn slump.

Definately take a point next week though fwiw

My lad’s just phoned. Train delays have meant he’s currently stuck in Stoke after cancellations and bomb scares have fucked their travel plans up.

”Dad, how do you fancy picking us up from Piccadilly?”

”Son, how does ‘get fucked’ sound?”

🤔

Statistically we are 6 points better than last season at the same stage

We have 5 points less than our excellent second half of the season after the same No of games.

No panic.

Having said that we need to improve from now until Xmas on last year as we only picked up 4 points from the remaining 7 games

I think we're all realistic and not expecting to be top 2, but if any of our challengers were playing Cambridge and Fleetwood in consecutive games, we'd be very happy if they only took 2 points and didn't score.  Its below par.

We have the best defensive record in the league surprisingly, anyway you start with 0-0 & get better.

Hopefully.

Pompey only got a point at Morecambe today , don’t think they’ll be too disappointed.

Charlton got a point at Burton

Plymouth got a point at Lincoln

Peterborough got beat at Exeter

Cheltenham got a point at Ipswich

All below par

Its not just us.

Tbf we don’t know yet that we’ve only taken two points and not scored

Issue is, you play 5 at the back.. you end up with a good defensive record, but a lack of goals..
